The second half of Explorers has some of the most well-implemented, clean, and uniquely interesting camera movement/gravity changes I've seen out of 2.2. Combine that on top of very good indicators and it makes for a crazy good level. Can't wait to play this update live and try some of these out for myself

While these are really well made, I worry about the features of 2.2 introducing way too many gimmicks, making levels even worse when it comes to sight reading. It's already a huge problem in GD that most really "difficult" levels are getting half their difficulty from hidden paths and invisible jump pads, but I'm worried this will make things even worse.

I actually don't think I'll like the 2.2 update when it gets released. I've been playing since 1.7-1.8 and I have noticed that every time the game gets updated, the community gets obsessed with the new features for some time and the online levels completely suck for a few months, and then people starts noticing what,s good and what,s bad for gameplay. The move triggers in 2.0 are a great example, people overused them til they noticed overusing move triggers was horrible, then gameplay got better. In 2.1, the same thing happened with the spider, the lava style, the shake effect or the dash orbs (just look at Colorblind, that shit was awful), until a year later or so people started making balanced gameplay. This update is gonna be way bigger than any other this game had, and that means the community will remain in that mindset of overusing the new features in a horrible way for YEARS. I see this as an inminent threat for the GD community, and I will probably leave the game when 2.2 gets released.

Ok I finally understand what the you mean by the references 1:21 is similar to the beginning of Power Trip where you platform back and forth with increasing elevation 1:29 The block design after the second teleport portal is similar to Nock Em's. Also similar to the first wireframe section of Nock Em (sorta) 1:38 Not reflected in level design but the music fades away and becomes bitcrushed like Press Start's

New to Geometry Dash but Dash has easily the best music atm. I like some of them (the rest are bad) but Dash is just so good. Too bad it's hard for me with the amount of stuff going on. The music is the reason why I want to do those levels, so if they aren't good, I have no motivation to do them.

after gd colon's video about these levels and rewatching them again, my perspective about them has changed, i agree these levels have "information overload" and there are new mechanics and objects that replace ones that were already stablished.

I now understand why robtop hasn't been releasing because he doesn't want to disappoint us for that fact that the fan made levels are far more better than what he might be working on right now and everytime these fan made levels went out, he keeps on rethinking and create another one that would be better than the fan made ones. More likely these did not happen when Geometry Dash World and Subzero is still not around for players to exploit and get ahead of robtop.
