Well, I liked seeing that they have some correct priorities on what's important in life eg love, family, communication, connection. That's wisdom right there. "Wisdom and money can get you almost anything, but only wisdom can save your life." - Ecclesiastes 7:12 - I also LOVE how she's not even really thinking about the Benjamins (which, I know, some will say that's easy enough to do when you've done as well as they have, but some people have tens or hundreds of millions, but they have that 'more' disease) but is totally focused on her kids.

What a great episode!! The fact that you knew them really added to the interview. Some takeaways: 1) Having similar values is the building blocks of their successful marriage (e.g. they have differences in what they think their kids should/shouldn't eat specifically, but they have the common goal of wanting their kids to eat healthy and were able to build from that foundation.) 2) An important entrepreneurial skill to build/hone at this time is selling, including how to sell yourself! (Sara Blakely gives great advice at 30:39). Sara herself started out as a fax machine seller and learned many important lessons that she then applied to her now billion-dolla company, Spanx. 3) As a women, it is powerful seeing that Sara Blakely was able to create a successful business and find a partner who supports, respects, and even looks up to her (as he mentions in the interview). She has also managed to raise a family (4 kids) all while sticking to values that are really important to her - kindness, giving, humility, gratitude, valuing relationships, and so on. Thank you Lewis for a wonderful episode!

The best representatives of billionaires I’ve seen yet. What a wonderful couple and great advice right to the end. Some of the advice was noticed without a word needing to be said. Thank you

What surprised me the most is that they are cooking, cleaning the house and raising the kids by themselves, despite being billionaires and easily can hire a private butler or cook. And the room in background looks so..... normal? Like a stereotype middle-class home

Love the part where he mentions to her that he needed 2 hours alone. This is something that's been super helpful for me and my spouse as well. I used to get aggravated when I'd be working in my office and get interrupted. But once I started communicating that it was important for me to have uninterrupted work time while working at home, its done wonders!

It's such a pity that I didn't watch this video earlier! They are two of the best people in this world for sure. No pretention yet incredible eloquence, wild success with equilibrium, intelligent and kind, lovers and partners, funny and serious.. Also, THE BEST CHEMISTRY! I've been admiring Sara Blakely as my role model for a long time, but never really got to know her family/personal life. But now I know why she's such a successful entrepreneur. It's because she's just as attentive in every other area of her life as a wife, friend, daugther, mom, supporter, etc. No wonder her monetary success comes in to her life as a by-product. And an incredible husband as well, who can make a relationship with the world's biggest entrepreneur work really well. It takes a lot in a guy to be genuinely happy for the big success of his other half, without feeling threatened, and it shows he really truly cares for Sara, and also the level of self-esteem and security he has :) I really want to have a relationship like this. Like they said, it doesn't just come, it takes a lot of work, care, compromise, consistency, values etc, but i really want to find a person who makes the process all worth it, like these two. 💛❤

I’m so happy I took the time to listen to this interview. Amazing couple! Lots of lessons. Many of their principles I share with my husband as well. The number one lesson from Sarah for me was “ Hire your weaknesses’. This was an Aha moment as I always try to battle my weaknesses and end up not having the time or energy to build up my strengths. Thank you so much Lewis for making these interviews and sharing them with us. 🙏

38:36 oooof that is rough! My partner and I would not be able to be together in a healthy relationship if I ate meat. He was so passionate about veganism and animal abuse that it rubbed off on me and now we’re both vegan. The only thing I do is eat honey when I’m sick. Or honey in my drink on rare occasions. But aside from that I can’t imagine eating meat anymore. Even if we broke up. It’s probably the biggest gift he’s give me, open my eyes to something I’ve done without thinking.

In most marriages it always seems like one person dominates the other. Not always in a bad way, it's just very clear that one person sets the tone for both and takes the lead, and let's be fair ....it's usually the woman. There are these phrases people always say like "Happy wife, happy life" , or " She's the boss".....It's interesting with these two, neither one seems to want to dominate or surpress the other and both seem very happy.
