Stocks are rallying but I know better, macro shows the economy is yet to recover. I been holding stocks to sell at a profit at this time but it is looking like a bull market the rest of 2023. I am in a fight to hold or to sell. I’m up to 297 grand from a low of 250 thousand last year.

Stay in the mrkt and sell only if you need those funds. I got laid off and it has been difficult getting another source of income, glad I was investing when I did and of course with guidannce from a wealth-manager don’t listen to naysayers. I am making bank and the penalties for drawing from 401k to reinvest are nothing compared to the amount of wealth I now possess with my family

I have saved myself from all the hassle that the chaotic market causes. These days the best way to come into the market space is seeking guidance, due to side hustles i can’t handle my portfolio so i just work with LOREN LENA WALKER, a FA i came across via a recommendation from one of these KZbin retirement coaches. It’s been smooth since then. Cliche as it may I have made a mark up of 70% in profits investing 350k under her. It helps not to be worried about your portfolio every minute of the day.

You had mentioned investors can avoid multi cap funds and can go for Flexi cap fund in your previousvideo which was posted 7 months ago ("Avoid these 5 mutual fund categorise"). Now you are kinda going in favour of Multicap... its really confusing the small investors

Investment dynamics change over time. Nothing is fixed. Moreover these recommendations come when they are paid to do so. Investing blindly based on KZbin/insta/telegram reco without any research is harmful to wealth. They are there only to confuse retailers and earn.

Good analysis. It also seems that Multi-Cap fund can become a proxy to a 'Total Market Index' Fund, and thus can serve as portfolio balancer as well.

Interesting analysis. Thanks for that. As you correctly imply in the comments, each investor should thoroughly check the exact market cap allocation in each of the funds in their portfolio (flexicap and large and mid cap namely) and then, determine if a multicap fund would help in achieving their desired allocation to small and midcaps.

@ETMONEY
@ETMONEY Жыл бұрын
Hello, if your financial objectives are being fulfilled by flexi-cap funds, you can continue to stay invested in them. In this video, we have discussed multi-cap funds as substitutes for mid-cap and small-cap funds for those investors who want higher returns but not higher volatility. This is not to imply that you should exit flexi-cap funds. It all depends on what your requirements are.

How do people diversify their investments while investing in elss to save tax? I am trying to divide my sip in large mid and small cap in respective ratios 50 30 20 But a considerable amount of what I can invest goes to elss fund for which I do not have control over where the fund manager put that money in it skews my propotions and its hard to rebalance manually. Hello, you can check the asset allocation of your ELSS fund and based on that allot to other market caps. For instance, if you ELSS has 70% in large caps, 20% in mid caps and 10% in small caps, you can allocate more amounts to your mid-cap and small cap funds so that your overall asset allocation is 50:30:20. The idea is to check your ELSS fund's asset allocation and then based on that invest in mid-cap and small-cap funds. You probably won't need to invest separately in a large-cap fund as most ELSS are already tilted towards large caps.

No Multicaps invest nearly close to 50% in largecaps , rest 25% each in mid/small & in mutual funds in long run largecaps cannot generate good alpha. If a simple middle class person wants to beat future indian inflation only pure Small/ midcap funds are the only option where atleast 17-18% cagr possible rest all other categories never possible > 15-16%. Volatility is the need of the hour if we want to be financially independent. Flexicaps are just another name for active largecaps . For generating good alpha through largecaps only direct stock investing is the only good option & nothing else.
