She did a great job. Idk if I could keep my composure in a situation like that. Idk if I'd be able to be the one trying to keep someone clinging onto life as they loose all their blood. I hope none of us ever have to be in a situation like that. I guess some people don't understand or realize, that when you have severe blood loss, staying awake is the most important thing after tourniquets. Most people who fall unconscious during life threatening blood loss never wake up again. I saw a lot of people in chat confused when the cops told AJ to recite the ABC's. It's just literally anything to keep the person awake and responsive.

Self defense debate aside, this vid shows just how fucking dangerous knives are. The fact that one kid died almost instantly from a half-asses slash like that is insane. Guns get all the focus in NA, but knives are scary stuff if you get close enough.

The fact that one of them was stabbed as well but kept helping AJ because his situation was worse just hows how loyal and brave that guy was. Both hands in the air, actual heroes. @@moredcaicyrus2826 i wouldn't call them bottom of the barrel, cmon now they are young and out on the water having a bit too much fun, in thier high-school annoying era, definitely not the kids we woulda been hanging around but the guy ran up super aggressive acting weird, he didn't just ask them hey do you guys have the phone or did you see it, he came out the gates crazy. They obviously didn't realize they were escalating a situation to the point of murder. I mean the guy ran up full water sprint, went straight to grabbing one of thier legs and so they went into stupid kid mode joking at the guy calling him a pedo. But none of the physical contact happened until he went into puffed chest confrontation mode aswell as slapping or punching the girl that wSnt even a part of the boys group. Calling 22-17 year old "adults" would also be a stretch. Have you ever interacted with those age groups before? They are still far from being self-sustaining responsible adults. The old guy though? That guy has spent twice the amount of time on this earth to grow and mature, but obviously didn't do it very well. Old guy should've used his wisdom and experience to just turn the other cheek, feel pity for the ignorance of youth, possibly file a police report, and return home to his wife and family. But no, old guy had a fragile ego and couldn't see his own blessings, and so he cast away all he had, all he worked for, over his EGO. Even with the verbal abuse and the shove into water, you think the kids were responsible for their friend's death and that they should have to live with the guilt? Do you feel insults justify a death penalty? If a group of drunk kids walked by you on the street and shoulder-checked you, would you pull out a gun and shoot them on the spot? Please explain to me why you feel the need to undermine the pain and sorrow of the stabbing victims, and blame them for the actions of a mentally unwell man who gutted a 17 year old to death.

Think about it like this, regardless of rights and wrongs, cause and effect is entirely relevant. Had the kids not made it a whole thing to antagonize the guy and shove a camera in his face and taunt him, they wouldn't have been traumatized. Sometimes its not about right and wrong, it's just about staying safe. Do not act rash and try to be the cool guys with cameras making fun or poking at anyone no matter how much you are in the right, you NEVER know what someone is going through or thinking. You JUST might be the reason they choose to make a life altering decision. Was anyone in the right? No. Was anyone in the wrong? Heavily debatable.

In this video I think we see how X is not capable enough to visualize and imagine situations. He defends the kids who where the aggressors in this situation. I could have defended them as well but the way they acted was clearly not in a humans level of understanding so I can't unfortunately. X thinks there were 5 ppl (Even compares a 1 on 1 situation to prove a point on a 1 on 6-close distance and in a group of 15+ in medium distance) which is completely incorrect if you open your eyes, it is more like 20 ppl around him. The way they approached was erratic and aggressive, while shouting accusations that are valid for defimation and surrounding him completely making it hard to make an escape and even risky moving away because of the positioning of the people. then they proceed to shove him down and laugh at him the whole time which affects your mental state more than you think, it's when you don't know the origin or reason of a laugh that makes you uncomfortable. Now in this situation self defense is a go in my book but this guy couldn't stop lying even for his life. If he had instead of lying and hiding, called the police immediately after the incidence, said the situation as it was and admited to everything then it would be a 100% win for him on a moral standpoint (I don't know legally tho). So in this instance we see two garbage meeting each other, one being ignorant and annoying while in a group and commiting multiple crimes(Mainly defaming about serious topics that could lead to rushed choices and maybe even lose of life) and the other not being manly enough to kill (BTW never kill this is in case you end up killing one way or another) and admit immediately after while also not communicating (not that it matters in this case with the level of inteligence present in the group) his reason for snorkelling (looking for a phone) in a crowded space. I think that the group all deserves a big scar on them as a reminder of past mistakes and maybe some jail time for their actions. While the old guy deserves his rest of the life in prison for his actions. Rest in peace to the deceased and thank you for listening to this opinion.

first off, nothing physical happened between anyone until he punched a woman in the face. this altercation did not spark by kids pushing him down, if he punched a woman in the face thats the least he deserves second off, you are dumb. did the kids antagonize him? yes. did they act out of line and pretty much bully an old man? yes. but does doing any of those things warrant getting hit or stabbed or in this case murdered? not at all. yes the kids were being obnoxious but they did not do anything near bad enough to suffer any physical harm, let alone losing your life. delete your comment idiot

Before reading the comments I had only one instance of potential self defence, the moment where the guy got punched and pushed in the water. That is scary for everyone and it was like a 2-3 second window. Felt like he was swarmed by a group of people with unknown intentions. However, this still doesnt make sense, the instigator ( the kid that punched ) backed off after the act, he didnt try to swing again. So it doesnt make sense to react with your knife and stab people that back off. So it wasnt self defence, that was simply a rage moment and "payback". Also I didnt realize that this whole scenario started with the old man searching for his phone in the water and touching his pocket. That literally explains this whole case. He either truly lost his item and thought the kids took it ( which is paranoia I dont think they can take it from so far away ) OR he purposefully made a motive/pretext to go and engage with them ( still paranoia that someone is looking to harm him ). Either way, something clouded his perception and the weapon in the car explains it. Edit: Nvm I rewached that part, he got punched, slapped and then pushed in the water. Then he got back up after a moment and was ready with the knife and in that exact frame one of the victims tried to touch him or got extremely close, but the old man was preparing to strike. It happened so fast that it could be an argument for self defence ( ONLY for that one frame ). Basically you cant tell what's going to happen next if another kid comes to you after you got punched and pushed in the water. Maybe he thought they would also have knives, but this argument falls short since they are just drunk kids that told him to leave multiple times.
@NonStopLoss
@NonStopLoss 15 күн бұрын
I almost completely agree, well said. Although I'd personally completely void the self defense as they only touched him after he had punch/slapped the girl that wzs trying to get him to cool down/leave. Mind you she wasn't even in the group of boys that he felt so threatened by. Also hell just from the initial way he came up to them so aggressively and immediately like grabbed one of their legs or something, aswell as from what I saw he barely if at all spoke a word to any of them. Kinda just seems like the scenario B where he was looking for that outcome and just needed to find a reason to escalate and then plead self defense.

48:46 this is why you should wait and speak to a lawyer. This guy had a huge adrenaline rush in the scenario and that can cloud your memory of things. The man's intent was to defend himself and to try and get away. He mentioned he has had surgery, so he probably couldn't exactly run away from them. The girl that pushed him initially is probably what made his fight or flight mode activate for sure and then he punches a girl not knowing that she wasn't one of the aggressors. There are many people involved, surrounding one person. Mostly guys, but like one or two girls. I believe he shouldn't have drawn the knife out so soon, because that probably caused panic, which then justified the other party to fear for their life. Their original intent wasn't to kill him, but from his perspective it was and since he was outnumbered, he instinctively drew his knife without thinking about it, due to the adrenaline rush he was experiencing, so that he could defend himself. Later on who thought he took the knife away during the attack or something like that. Not true, but from his perspective in that moment of fearing for his life, he recognized the threat in that moment. Personally I believe I would remember having a knife on my person. I'm not sure how adrenaline would affect my memory in this situation, but I'd definitely consult a lawyer and the lawyer would then file for discovery I believe it's called and then make them show the video evidence. Upon reviewing this video evidence, it would have helped this guy to try and remember his thought process through the situation.

I would personally back off at that point, but I understand this guy going into survival mode, because I personally know that stepping back a few paces in knee deep water is extremely difficult especially with current, as seen from the rescue effort. But I agree that stabbing was out of the question, a few punches or slaps would've done fine, these are kids for sake! There are definitely grounds for self-defense here, but the guy clearly has to get some sort of punishment. I think the court verdict was justified. All parties here were bad. You never know when you need it to defend yourself as a last resort or to just use as a general purpose tool. But you can settle things easily with just words or hands, the weapon is just there to settle things that I personally cannot. Criminals don't care about the law, why would you actively put yourself in danger by being unarmed? In this case, it's a situation of kids poking the sleeping bear. Unfortunate situation that would've been easily avoided with just a bit of respect. If 10 young adults "gang up" on a fat guy, he doesnt go out without injuries. Arguing that he got "seriously attacked" before completely escalating it himself is so brainbroken. Kyle Rittenhouse was completely different. Dude was running away, had a visible gun and got chased by the guy anyways. It is clear as day, that this guy wasnt just about to slap or push him. Were the young adults annoying? Yes, but who isnt when he is this drunk. They didnt invade his space, he did. They didnt accuse him of some random stuff, he did. They didnt initiate any physical contact (maybe the women pushed him, but clearly only to de-escalate rather than attacking him.

The kids weren't just 'annoying'. The words you use to undermine their actions is insane. They were drunk. They were intimidating the man. Completely outnumbered him, verbally abused him, laughed at him while putting their hands on him. If anything it were the kids that escalated the situation. The man, when questioned, said he felt threatened to the point, which is a fair point taking that they hit the man and shoved him into the river where he hurt his back. Obviously nobody needed to die, but this is the result you get for not understanding consequences.

@@Official-OpenAI Guess what dumbass, you're not allowed to stab someone for verbally abusing you. You're also not allowed to stab someone for putting their hands on you (idk why you're even including that in the comment, like that somehow is making him scared that a 17year old girl puts her hands on him while telling him to leave?). It's so funny to defend his actions when he doesn't even believe them himself, which is why he lied over and over to the police. Anyone genuinely believing they acted in self defense wouldn't hide and lie to the police about them having multiple knives, they would tell the truth because they believe they were in a position to justifiably defend themselves. The hiding, lying, throwing the weapon away shows that even he HIMSELF did not think this was justified self defense, hence the extra details to make his actions look more justified.

Basically: Guy loses snorkel in river, goes downstream to look for it, repeatedly says 'im looking for my snorkel' in bad english... Group of drunk teen boys film him, insult him, degrade him, scream for help trying to get people to fight him/attack him. This works, other group of slightly older people come over and start pushing him away and insulting him. he's visibly angry/confused, punches one after she pushes him, he then clutches his knife. One teen from original group announce he has a knife, they then jump him and push him over, punch him, slap him, continue recording... He stands up holding his knife still, and the teens basically run into his knife trying to attack him. The kids in the OG group need to face punishment, heavy punishment. They directly began the altercation, and caused the injuries to themselves. What do you think happens if you antagonize, degrade, insult, and attack another person? Usually they attack you back or insult you.

Objectively true take: The guy was searching for a friend's phone. Drunk kids start verbally harassing him without having any knowledge of who he is, what he's capable of, what mood he's in etc (kids' first mistake, you dont treat people you don't know like that for obvious reasons). The guy pushes their floating devices? (No idea why, probably thought they had the phone, thats a mistake on his part) Some random lady comes in with no information on what's going on to try and be the Karen hero of the kids. (Mistake on her end, usually you should avoid altercations of any sort unless necessary) The guy tells them he lost his snorkel, they keep yelling at him, the lady grabs his arm and tries to direct him where to go, kids start the pdf accusations (all mistakes on their end) Weird kiddos surround him, shove a camera in his face and yell like they're about to 10v1 him, the guy reaches for his knife. (Obvious self defense move, probably could still walk away but he has paranoia or whatever, like stated by his wife in the video, so he chose reaching for his knife instead. This is why you don't f with people you don't know unless necessary) A random npc girl starts pushing him, he punches her (big mistake by BOTH parties) Absolute chaos after that, the stabbing was not needed. The kids being drunk made their situation worse, they made more crucial mistakes than the dude who btw also made the wrong decisions. Moral of the story is don't fk with people you don't know cause you might find out and never have the chance to fk w people again. Also don't fkin drink in the middle of the day on public places especially when underage. Overall great job by the police and ambulance. Sad the situation became fatal.
