At 2:55 he makes some clouds that I think he completely paints over.

Thank you for the comment 😊. I did paint clouds at that time, but I was not happy with the result, so I painted over it. 😊😊 I hope you enjoyed the video

I like some of the techinques here. I've never done my stars that way. ☺ The rest is just commentary from one artist to another. Don't take it critically. Maybe you will get an idea from me just as I got one from your video. ☺ May I suggest spraying a bit of black on before you begin the nubula. Also, since almost nothing in nature is straight, using straight paper to make the first texture seemed to give you some trouble. Using a plastic bag crumpled up and then flattened works well for me in avoiding the straight lines. I do like layering some of my stars in halfway through the nubula to creat background effects. I personally don't prefer using the torn poster board to give the cloud effect, but I can see that it worked for you. I like just lightly spraying a few shots of nebular colors where I want them. Anywhere they end up looking to thick, I shoot just a small bit of black on that spot to give the impression that the nebular has a hole in it so we can see space behind it. For stars, I like light blue, pink, red, and white. I prefer the sputtering method of just lightly holding the tip in, but I will be trying your technique also. ☺ I always finish with some stars last and then clearcoat as you did. Sidenote - I wasn't a fan of the video edit at the end where you cut the video and made some changes before clearcoat. Maybe you just lost some footage. I think that maybe you sufferred a bit from not know when to stop this time. I feel the pain myself sometimes. Don't feel bad just stopping along the way and explaining to the viewers what you don't like and what you will do different next time. The music is alright, but interspace some commentary also. (It can be script written on screen if you don't want to interfere with the music.

One other suggestion. Try using a very dark blue for your background instead of black. Then very lightly shoot a little black on top of the dark blue. This combination more closely reflects what it really looks like when you look up at night. Happy painting.

What are you using for paper is that poster board?
@AfmanCreations2 ай бұрын
Yes. It is a glossy poster board. Painting in the glossy side gives the paint a shine and makes it easy to work with.

Whats is the last spray that you use?

Great question! The last cam is a good clear coat. It seals the paint and gives it a bit of a shine 😊
