Fahad wasay Honestly that whole monologue just..... feels like a nice girl Facebook post???(at least out of context like this) I’ve felt like that when I was younger, but Jesus on a bike does it sound like entitlement. Because while it’s completely normal to at some point feel like you’re never ‘the one’ it’s in no way acceptable to feel like someone you want owes you something, be it a relationship or otherwise. It’s also no ok to condemn the person they love as a bad person or lesser because someone you want is with them instead. Just as we can’t control who we fall for neither can they.

@@rabbitguts2518 I get what you're trying to say, but, to feel like you're never 'chosen' over anybody ever, to feel like you're never first choice for anyone... It messes with your head and makes you think that maybe the problem is you. That monologue was definitely not her blaming the guy for not choosing her, nor the girl he chose over her. She's blaming herself for never being good enough for anyone, for never being "the one".

idk what youre going through or why you need it but thats in incredibly flawed thing to say. when someone you love hurts themself, you, or anyone else , dont EVER make yourself the one to blame for anothers bad decision. by saying you didnt love him enough he wouldnt stay, your blaming yourself for their own problem. this doesnt apply to every problem under the sun, theres never a single solution but when it all comes down to it, that was their own personal lack of ability.

Actually, only Stefan married her, and then chose to sacrifice himself. Klaus and Caroline didn’t even get to be in a relationship, let alone get married, but it’s true that they did both decide to die for someone else over her, but it was understandable in both ways. Stefan died for his brother, and Klaus died for his daughter. And although it is quite unfair on Caroline, she understood too. She’s one of my favourites.

God, it does suck. Especially in this generation. I’ve trained myself to detach immediately from people that show me in more way than one that they don’t want me. Whether that’s treating me like crap, or just choosing other people above me, I’ve learned to never take it personal. The person that didn’t see my value didn’t deserve me anyway. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt any less…Especially when you loved them so much. Sometimes your self-respect truly needs to be stronger than what you feel. Life goes on. It may be a lonely one, but its worth what’s left of your dignity. Practicing endless self love and compassion for yourself is the only way to get through not being “the one” as a hopeless romantic.
