Multi Grain Cheerios Commercial - Fake Box

so apparently Cheerios is to cheap to make their own American version commercials they had to steal one from Great Britain, over dub the actors voices with American accents, and photo shop a fake 'American style' box of Cheerios into the commercial.
to top it all off, the wife is a total b

I knew there was something off with the commercial when I saw the actress who played the wife. She didn't "look" American to me. When I found out that it was a British import, everything made much more sense.

Advertisers know that women feel empowered by degrading men. And they'll use that to sell cheerios. And it's socially acceptable. Imagine though if the genders were reversed? What an uproar that would cause. It would no longer be 'funny', just sexist.

Cn you imagine a commercial where the husband leads his wife into "The box says shut up, sue!" That commercial would be off the air in 24 hours. Hey, notice in a lot of commercials how any couple will appear to be brother and sister, because the people casting it want the couple to be so suitable for one another, they wind up ACCIDENTALLY looking like sibs. Remember the old DISARONO? The bartender and the woman looked just alike! Lots of commercials are that way. Watch for it, you'll be astounded how many (including the horrible yogurt one where the wife condescendingly calls her hubby BABE).

They play it in Canada too but use the British version is played here. I was really creeped out when I saw the dubbed version. I think it was done because it would be more appealing to the demographics. Americans don't see British accents as 'down home' as it were.
