Debra Smith Art makes sense someone else asked about covering layers and I thought this may be why. I end up doing this with almost every piece because of course we are our own worse critics. So i never see mine as good enough. Love your honesty and willingness to share the entire project from beginning to end. Some will only show the final result which in my opinion isn't a true tutorial..... keep up the good work you are very talented.

Самое расточительное расходование смолы. Чтобы получить конечный результат достаточно было только последний слой. А так вместо одной картины можно было сделать три. (((( Most wasteful expense of resin. To get end-point it was enough only the last layer. And so instead of one picture it was possible to do three. ((((

Quite different. All layers were different because you were looking for something that wasn’t there. At first when you started the 2nd layer, you wanted depth but when you covered up the whole 2nd layer I knew you were not pleased with the results just yet. I loved the 2nd layer, it spoke of your words about a bad storm was rolling in. I thought at first that must be what you have named the painting so I was disappointed when you started the third layer. But, you are the artist of this painting, so you get to choose it’s final step. Loved watching tho how confident you paint and not frustrated, you just calmly worked your magic.

I watched this as as I watched, i kept wondering why you were doing numerous layers. You used a lot of paint and resin, and knowing how expensive it is, a question popped in to my mind. This goes to all artists...do you start the pours with a design in mind, or do you just decide to wing it and see how it turns out? You can never predict how it will truly end up in the end but is there a reason behind the madness?

The first two layers were beautiful...the third was too much and covered up the beauty and brightness of the previous colors.

I liked layer 2. Number 3 covered all of it and made a total different design. Seems like a waste.

I love your honesty and willing to show your failures too. This the second video I have watched. Just discovered you today. I have covered a flow painting with clear resin but haven’t done resin with colours yet. I always have to do two coats of resin so I understand why you had to stop at three layers. Soooo heavy. Anyways keep up the good work. Look forward to watching all your videos.

I’ve just found you, and I love your work! I’m an absolute beginner and so this question is probably silly, but...do you mix the resin with the coloured paints before beginning? If so, what are the proportions, please?

BEAUTIFUL Please explain something to me... I'm so new to this... Why do you do so many layers? It (seems) like a waste of resin/color... Why don't you just do the top layer that you got, or maybe even 2 layers... because it is obvious that what you first put on it... is lost... I don't understand why covering up something you can't see.

That is a good question and something I've often wondered. In my own experience with resin art when i end up doing layers that cover the first layers it's because I am not satisfied with what I have so far ...

You do so many layers to give the painting depth and dimension. Gives it a 3-D look down into the painting as you can see some layers under the other layers almost as if floating.
