For all those asking why this is done, adding rootstocks makes your tree grow faster because you multiply the root system that absorbs nutrients and water from the soil. It also makes your tree sturdier against wind, etc. I had a gardener once hit one of the rootstocks of my mango tree with a gas powered grass cutter, the rootstock was cut but the tree survived because it had other rootstocks to keep it alive

@@favziyahnafiah6952 i beg to differ, he did not attach scions. The reason for multiple rootstocks is to make the tree grow faster since the root system is multiplied, and it becomes stronger also. The fruiting isn't affected because he did not graft any scions.
