So good!!! FL was able to get into the harem step by step to get revenge for not just her but thousands of “lower-class” ppl who were killed and used like objects by these despicable royals. I love the message that even ants can topple a dynasty. FL did not need any man’s help she took her revenge and justice with the support of those oppressed by the crown. Also I like that they didn’t hold back on the spicy scenes lol yhe leads have great chemistry even tho it’s not a love story haha ML as a character really did deserve all the punishment. He is the root of all the issues. Great ending and very empowering

What a refreshing plot! While this is a revenge story, it is not like other c-drama miniseries. The FL is a wily, experienced woman who uses beauty, seduction and wits. She is not assisted by some stoic ML but by many people that share her vision. The evil female characters are not one dimensional but complex. The empress' speech on how she was just 15 years old when she married the Emperor, was a great exposition on why people living under extreme limitations choose the wrong path. Subtitles were not great but good enough to follow the plot. No romance but it would have detracted from the plot, so I did not miss it. The journey is bittersweet but the end is triumphant. There is no forgiveness, no mercy.
