@@areebachewa8318 ok i can agree with that one. But there's no denying that buddhism was on the decline in india before islam gradually took over. The university was probably already in partial ruins in the 12th century. Because let's face it, asking people to abandon their notions of self, and therefore avoiding getting caught up in conflicts over territories and resources, and rejecting the very evolutionary-honed instinctive driven nature for survival and what made the human race so dominant and resistant to extinction while so many others perished, was just not gonna work in the practical world

Chinese culture is rooted in Confuscianism n Daoism Buddhism came to China much later n chinese buddhism is actually buddhism blend with Daoism n Confuscianism. Buddhism birthplace is in Nepal. It spread to india but its influence was shortlived , Indian religion Hinduism is the predominant religion in india till today . Indian hindus couldnt embrace the foreign religion buddhism but chinese Daoists n Cnfuscianists were able to do so.

Historians suggest that Brahmins held an advantage over Buddhists due to their study of legal scriptures, which were crucial for advising kings in the administration of their kingdoms. As the scholars and educators of ancient India, Brahmins devoted their entire lives to the pursuit of knowledge. Sadly, the caste system limited this knowledge to a privileged few, while the majority of the population was denied access to Sanskrit and its related texts. This led to a global perception of India as uncivilized, when in fact, two Indias coexisted-one an educated minority, and the other an uneducated majority. We owe a great deal to the Chinese monk Xuanzang for documenting this crucial aspect of Indian history, as well as to those who translated his works and rediscovered Nalanda. A special thanks is also due to the creators of this film for sharing this important chapter of history with the world.
