like many people here im also new to Isboxer and am having trouble following this guide. i tried to even just copy all of your settings i could see but it seems to only work for one character. since im only multiboxing 2 chars i managed a solution of having one char mount my druid and then just putting the camera view macro in slot one and leaving on broadcasting, but this seems like an awful solution for more than just 2 chars. if you ever get bored id love a more in depth guide that explains how/why the things work. but again im probably just too new to be looking at advanced guides like this

May 24th, 2020 Update: This video was meant to demonstrate how one might set up ISBoxer to gather herbs and/or ore, in World of Warcraft (or whatever other game you play; it's a generic setup). It was never intended to be a standalone setup video, and most people will need to be familiar with Mapped Keys, Actions, and WoW macros created either through the game client or inside of ISBoxer. There are too many people approaching me asking for personal help looking to set this up from scratch, when they are brand new to ISBoxer and have no knowledge of the program and its features, other than the small amount of time it took them to use the basic setup Wizard and log into the game. Please, I ask that people expecting to use ISBoxer learn the program and its basic features, some of which are mentioned above and can be found on the ISBoxer Wiki ( isboxer.com/wiki ).

When I use the Macro, It gives all my slaves a Warning. Can't remember exact warning, but it goes like ''You are trying to run a custom script, this can lead to character being deleted, at the loss of items, gold and character are you sure you want to continue'' Doesn't say that to my Main since I do have a macro to Left click cast Tundra Mammoth, Right click Eject Vendors. So that I could quickly make my slaves jump onto my Mammoth. And that script also gave me that Warning. I don't see why Blizzard would Ban me / delete characters for using this, but If I am making a 3rd Party program (ISBoxer) Automatically use this Script. Then I see a breach in the ToS. Wouldn't it be safer to Keybind the SetView4 to a certain button, and then make ISBoxer Press that button to set the view, instead of making ISBoxer run a Script. Works the same way, but instead of Automatically casting a Script on multiple accounts, It automatically presses a Key which sets the view on all accounts. This way I'm just making all accounts use a legal Keybind Instead of Scripts, which are a breach of ToS and can lead to a Ban/Character deletion.

Basically I just want to know the dangers of using /script commands, especially when running them through a 3rd party program. I decided to stick on the safe side, and instead of using the script. I simply made my Mouseover command on ISBoxer to press the in-game Keybind for setting camera view, then press the Interact with mouse over target. It works perfectly, and I feel a bit safer that way. However, all 5 of my accounts. No matter how hard I try. Always have misaligned cameras. It's not super bad. But It means I have to use the Interact keybind 3-4 times while moving my mouse around guessing where It should be. Is there anyway to make the Camera ''reset'' to default, since even If I use the Setview, or the basic built in Camera views, the slight left click moving I've done on each account. Makes them always be slightly off target.

Make sure under each character's keymaps menu you have all of the Keymaps selected (always on, party, etc.) This might fix your issue.

I can't get this to work with druid flight form... Everytime I get to the node I can never make the repeater work even with these macros, second account always gets stuck somehow when I fly away with my main...

I'm trying to use the toggle method, and the setview macro fires, but then the broadcasting always goes straight to OFF. It doesn't actually "toggle". It just fires both steps.

i just upgraded from a quad core (i5 4690k) to 8 core ryzen 7 3800x and i cannot stress the difference. Wow went from unplayable stuttering, freezing to smooth as butter (running 4 then 5 characters) showing 1 big screen 4 small at same time. can even run through boralus without taking too much of a hit

I've got this setup, but how are you getting the slaves to click without broadcast on? I don't see you're broadcast go on and off, and i see you've got mount HotKey'd and autofollow going. I've got all that but the actual click on the herb/ore doesn't work without broadcast

I used the sale on legion to buy the accounts with gold and along with my other three accounts I plan on doing just what this video shows as soon as ISBoxer is fixed from whatever 7.3 did to break it ( I am sure they are working on it as the forums have shown).

hello mirai, thanks for your perfect guide. one problem here : i try to herb and mine with 5 druids, i have set X key on isboxer for descending. i go on top of a node and press X and they come down, but not stacked, every one of them has its own view, i use your setview macro on isboxer but i think the problem is with toons.the other problem is whenever i hit X they break follow, any idea to refollow? should i use a Step 2 on keymap and set /follow? i the other one and the most annoying thing is i hit Alt+F when i fly my main and they stuck on ground for some sec trying to catch up and using their wings, but i have to come back for one or two of them and press Alt+F again.

I just need to know, how do you set up setview? Iv rode somewhere that you have to copy the data from the WTF files and manually input it on the slaves. Isnt there any other way around?

You can set up SetView in three ways: 1) Create a macro in ISBoxer (you can see this in the video) 2) Create a macro in game 3) Assign a key bind to the SetView command in the key bindings menu That's it-there's no copying anything (files, or otherwise) anywhere.

Would the script command /runCloseLoot() also work at the end of the keystroke action, as a final action, I know Jamba has the close loot option but I am kinda an oldy and have used the script for some time.

It would, but what are you trying to accomplish here? The loot window appears after interacting with the node, and running the CloseLoot() command at that point is just going to close the loot window. You'd have to re-interact with the node in order to continue looting on the characters who didn't pick up the loot on the first attempt due to it being "busy."

ah you are right, I was thinking a node would work like a corpse for looting, you mentioned an addon then for the being busy, what addon do you recommend as I would think Jamba's close loot window would work the same as the script or would it not?

Yes, JAMBA will work just fine. I cover this in the looting video mentioned in, as well as listed in the description, of this video. Otherwise, there are loot-specific add-ons I mention in the other video, as well.

would setview work in ffxiv? or better yet jamba/bobloot equivalent in ffxiv? i used jamba in wow back in the day and was very useful. im currently using a leader assist method in ffxiv which works for pve just fine until losing leader. would like to go headless using jamba like multiboxing

There is no support for add-ons in FFXIV, and SetView is a macro command specific to the World of Warcraft macro API. However, if there's a command to move your camera to a specific point in FFXIV, then you could use that.

I have this working in Classic on one PC. On my other PC, I believe I have it setup exactly the same but when I hit Alt-X (my IWM key) it sets the view on all windows fine but the cursor is locked in position in all but the main window. Very strange.

furydeath You might want to try a setview macro. All I do is spam my hotkey and it 1. Sets all cameras the same, 2. Syncs everyones cursor 3. Interact with mouseover ie mines or herbs.

This is a great video thanks for uploading. I have a problem I was wondering if you had any experience with. I just started multiboxing and I have five accounts. I'm trying to use them for gathering, but I cannot seem to get them to stay following the leader. I've tried everything I can think of. Lowering graphics down to nothing, changing resolution, doubling up on two seaters, nothing seems to help. Its only a few seconds before they break follow no matter what I do. I'm not broadcasting movements to them, only the follow command and then I fly with the mouse. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am using a ryzen 7 1700 3ghz 8 core with radeon 580 8gb and 16g ram and an ssd

Neither /script nor /run are going to get you banned. Blizzard does not ban for anything that can be openly run within their Lua sandbox, and if they don't like you doing something, then they lock it down and make it secure. This has been their policy since the game was released in 2004.
