Can someone help me troubleshoot this issue.. Building 1 is the RP and it connects to building 2 via a layer 3 vlan(VLAN 800)PIM Sparse mode is enabled on both sides of the vlan The source feed is connected to Router 1. Vlans 10 is configured on Router 2. Vlans 20 is configured on router 1. All users on router 1 can view multicast group 239.192.5.10 Users that are connected to Router 2 are not receiving this multicast group.. on router 2 i see users wanting to join this multicast group via the "Sho ip igmp group" Here is what is confusing me.. Users in building 1...who are on vlan 20 can view these feeds. I am getting a *, G on router b for this multicast group.. the RPF interface is correct. i see the correct vlans in the OIL. I verified pim sparse mode, verified the Multicast DR for the vlans. verifed the RPF path. Please Help!...I have spent over 5 hours on the phone with Cisco . Still no luck. Questions that need to be answered...

:) So we have building 1, building 2, router1, router2, and routerb. :) Trying to put the picture together in my mind so I can help. Can you reply but without the buildings? And where is routerB in the picture? Sorry... just not quite following.

I genuinely need some help with a multicast issue. Our network infrastructure has three 9500 switches with multiplayer switching, HSRP, pim sparse mode, and MSDP (all three switches are msdp peers). The switches run HSRP on all their interface vlans, and the standby IPs are the default gateway for almost everything in our network. We have had intermittent multicast issuess where the shared and source distribution trees form correctly, but the core switches simply will not route the multicast traffic between vlans consistently. I’ve seen one multicast stream look great in my vlan, but horrible in a different vlan. I have more information but I didn’t want to list that here.
