Thank you for vidding chronic illness in this contest, that is a perspective that is really great for the rest of us to see. I loved so many of the clips and TedxTalks voiceovers you included to explain all of it. Is that Body of Proof vidded in there? I guess I stopped watching before I got to that point in the show! Now you're making me wish I kept watching. Very interesting vid and I'm so sorry you have to struggle so much with all this. I can feel how difficult this was for you to grow up with through the way you vidded this. My brother's girlfriend for about 8 years of our lives had a sister with type 1 diabetes and that was the closest I got to learning too much about the disease, through that person I didn't know very well. That and a classmate of mine in middle & high school did die at age 23 from a diabetic seizure. I certainly can see from things like that just how serious it is, I don't think type 2 is exactly easy to get rid of - I've heard more things like this: www.joslin.org/info/will_diabetes_go_away.html "There is no cure for diabetes. Neither type 1 (juvenile onset or insulin-requiring) diabetes or type 2 (adult-onset) diabetes ever goes away. " but I think your vid here has opened my eyes up a little to how type 2 is a little more manageable and maybe seems to almost go away for some people.

Thank you! I am so happy you enjoyed it :) Yeah it is body of proof - It was the only show I could find with a character that has this illness (sadly). Yeah not many people know about it which is fair enough - but then they confuse the types and suddenly becomes experts in what I should and shouldn't do which is annoying. There are a few differences between the types - type 1 is seen as hereditary but they aren't actually sure whereas type 2 tends to come from certain lifestyles or diets and etc. There are actually more than 2 types as well :) It is an interesting area if you are ever interested. :)

Yes you will make it in the end ❤️ You are so beautiful mysticmuse! And so is the way youve conveyed the hardships and reality of those with diabetes- which teaches others like me to be more sensitive, kind and caring to those who have it ❤️
