if you have an engine failure, keep the landing gears up until the very last moment, because landing gears increase drag and you can glide longer if you keep them up ps, you should especially keep them up when you're attempting a water landing as they can easily snap or hit the water in a bad way and cause worse damage to your plane

Flap 1 is for takeoffs. Flap 2 is for tuebulence. Flap 3 is for landing.

Planes are designed to be struck by lightning you'll be surprised how many planes a year get struck by lightning.

This is true with most new planes, however they were probably using a citation 9, which is an old private jet. It was not equipped with a fariday cage. So they actually could go down from lightning.

Hey Camodo! Wanna here a little too for if a plane is stalling? Put the plane into a sharp nose dive and pull up but not to much so it does not cause another stall. If there is no hope to save the plane, announce a emergency crash landing/ditching, and when about to crash say ‘Brace” 1-3 times.

Altought planes dont crash by lighting anymore, I can see how old planes could have had a incident. The incorrect part is that this is a 717, meaning that it's modern and should'nt crash because of a lightning. An example of this is Pan Arm flight 214, it's an old 707 so you can see why it wasn't prepeared for a lightning strike.

Actually planes CAN crash by lightning. Most old planes don’t have a Fariday cage on them. Which means the lightning would fry the engine systems and electronic components. Which would then shut down the engines and cause the plane to crash.
