very helpful - just created 9*4 measures with this in an instant. Thank you very much

If Microsoft decides to integrate this with Python tools like Pandas o specifically matplotlib, plotly or any other tool... probably this will be the highest game changer in data analytics

Well some Python packages have been available for multiple years in Power Bi, for instance matplotlib, pandas and numpy. Do a simple search of “Python packages supported in Power Bi” and you will probably get the ms article as pretty much your first hit. Younare required to have python installed on your computer with Power BI desktop though

This is great, sort of a work around if you dont want to create multiple measure in Tabular editor. The formatting is the best part in my opinion!

OK, now how to add those measures at once to specific table?
@dutchinfluencer6 ай бұрын
Amazing, this probably doesn't work with a model hosted in Analysis services, right?

the Format measure is not great yet... it doesn't add an "enter" after the "="

is it possible to update measures with comments?
@Luggruff5 ай бұрын
This is great! Although, be vary of any comment block at the end of your measures, as they will be deleted. You can of course go back to the query editor and find them (at least if you don't close the application). I had a big comment section under a switch query, and it would not be saved when I commented it out - not with block comments or single line comments. I had to put it before the closing parenthesis of the Switch function for it to be saved.

I am not getting the option to enable the DAX query view. I just get the option of Dax with Copilot and I do not have premium licence. Can someone help me out to enable the query view

Query view was already an S-tier update, but it keeps getting better!

Would be good if they integrated SQL.

This is ironic, working on creating measures in my model. Keep getting "500,000 rows error" or something on the lines that it's too big of a visual.

I wish they made SQL query available on semantic models rather than nonsense DAX.
@bryanrock48366 ай бұрын
At first I didn't realize what a big deal this is. Then I realized this is going to save so much time when I'm working from a thin report and I want to add a measure to the connected semantic model. Up until now, I would have to open the .pbix file for my semantic model, create the measure, and then publish metadata changes using the ALM toolkit.
@RichardOliver6 ай бұрын
But wasn't he actually adding the measures to the model, rather than the thin report? He did switch from the thin report.
@bryanrock48366 ай бұрын
@@RichardOliverI think you're right. I didn't catch the he switched to editing from the model. It still means I don't have to use the ALM toolkit, so I'm happy. And the formatting is nice too.
@PrasanKumar6 ай бұрын
@@bryanrock4836 You still have to publish the new measures to service , either the default way or using ALM toolkit , isn't it ? This just helps to create and format measures in bulk. Reduces number of clicks and saves time I reckon.
@davidkuhry6 ай бұрын
@@PrasanKumar That's how I understand it. When you are in the actual model, it updates the model, but not the published model. You still have to publish those changes up to the service either by Publishing the model or with ALM. I wouldn't mind be proven wrong here as it would simplify my work a bit :) .

This isn't much quicker than using Tabular Editor 2/3 though :|
