Lovers become distressed when they see the other one sad and you will see it in their eyes and gestures even when do not directly express it.

GJ also had an intense crying scene in that series, and ZYT also laughed and teased him afterwards, to help him get out of the dramatic moment. It's normal, and it does not imply any distance or problems. It also does not imply a personal relationship between them at all.

Grnerally, I laugh at my friends when they seemed sad & sometimes when they cry to cheer them up. But on serious cases I never laugh when their depressed in a traumatic situation.
