As much as i want to give Player First Games some slack given they're a pretty young and inexperienced studio (at least, for this genre of game), I think that's also one of their biggest flaws. I think if they really want Multiversus to thrive, WB needs to pony up and bring in a secondary dev to do some damage control for the game. The last two Smash games had Bandi Namco lend a hand with some of its development, and obviously it worked pretty well for them. Let a more experienced team handle some of the gritter details like game balancing, and PFG can focus on improving the content within the game (ie roster, stages, modes, ect)

To say smash competitor? That was optimistic but I could respect it. No one on this PLANET could ever kill smash. HELL, who do you think you are to kill MARIO ANYTHING? Mario Kart? Undefeated! Mario Party? Undefeated! Smash Bros? Undefeatable. Not saying they'll always be hands down the best in their genres. I rotate my gold characters with a 3-5 per season, made sure to level up every character too. My favorite battle pass skin is maestro bugs. More exclusive skins are needed since everything can be paid for. Jason’s was a big step but gave up on playing him just give different option than rare, give us something creative like crate drop that would be CHEF’S KISS!

This game is looking more like the typical fighter what made mvs so much fun was in the beta it was just a different game you wouldn’t get caught in infinite combos as easily there was attack decay that would not only work but let your opponent know they’re spamming too much and you could infinitely dodge

Yeah the game's gotten a lot more focused on being a "pro-level esports" game instead of the fun at EVERY level experience it was in beta. A lot of the stuff that makes characters cool comes from some relatively gatekept tech that the tutorial NEVER teaches to players.

The only battle pass i ever got was season one and that was because it was Friday the 13th themed with jason and what makes me mad is that i grinded for hours on end to get jason x just to see players buy that skin with like 10 dollars because you can just buy the skins after the seasons over (i think i should say i got that pass along with jason for free)

I think a lot of the issues comes down to them not knowing how to balance appealing to both new casual players and old veteran players that like competitive. Old players have a lot of Perk Currency left over from beta so they're annoyed whenever an event gives more Perk currency, new players don't really have a reliable way to get Perk Currency so it's a good reward for them. Older players, who already play a lot of the game and have most characters unlocked, won't be too impacted by Fighter's Road since there won't be many characters left to unlock and you'll get it passively from all the games you play anyways. New players will have 30 characters to work towards and can only use a handful og them to begin with Feels like the game really doesn't know who it wants to appeal to and just ends up not appealing to anyone in the process

If you stretch yourself trying to appeal to everyone, you'll appeal to no one. It's like an auto maker trying to make an Electric Hybrid, Sports 5 Door Utility Truck Sedan, with a V12 engine, a giant racing wing, car seats, leg room, roll bars, and a technical studio entertainment system. Like separately those things make cars good but no vehicle would look even REMOTELY nice with all of that going on at the same time.

I barely pay attention to this game in general anymore, it just sucks to have characters completely revamped and combos not work and have characters that feel completely trash compared to what they were, and with how much I used to play this game, I thought it would replace smash for more than just 2 months for me, but the game kinda just kept getting changed and changed, and even though I played somewhat competitively, it just turned me off because the direction they went for the already unhealthy game was just looking worse and worse. The worst part for me is auto teching, which idk if they’re still planning on removing.

The bad about the multiversus 's game for me is not the free to play model, is not the way you need to " work " in daily basis to complete an event. The bad thing about this is that it feel like if you do not them without stopping when you will want to play the game in its full version ( when the rifts stop to a point with the endgame story) this guy as a new players will have to spend to much money to purchase the skins he /she did not get because he/she did not play the game with this tempo when the game 's core ( rifts) are under development.

Nah the balance team needs to stop doing overwatch nerfs and stop doing "favorites" with characters. Some characters have moves that make no sense that other characters can do but they're the exact same. The balance team does the exception to the rule balance which is not good at all. Jokers big card can't break shields but marvin rocket and bugs rocket can break shields. Even though I don't think projectiles as big as theirs should break shields but only take more meter cause it makes it more balanced. Some characters have too much knockback on attacks with no end lag and create false senses of security and skill in players who definitely shouldn't be rewarded for spamming said attacks or whiffing them. Its why shaggy gets nerfs all around the issue of him and not the root of his character. Multi is the only platform fighter that you can be at complete advantage and get that all taken away from simple attacks and not the other players skill. The balance between casual and competitive is all over the place with this game.

Actually, the old battle passes for League didn't give you any characters! You had to grind out getting blue essence to purchase them yourself. I sadly have no idea if the latest one that offers skins also earns you the character if you don't have them, as I have every character already.

Yea I’m done with this game and I’m not going back after this season. They said they were going to make changes to HitBoxes and only changed what like 2 or 3 people. Characters getting buffed they don’t need it (Harley Quinn) or character getting nerf that don’t need it. It’s dumb and ridiculous. Trying to get to masters is a freaking chore and the RP gain is horrible you win a match then lose more points then you gained like wth is going on with them. I’ve had hopes for this game sense beta and they honestly ruined it for me. Like it pisses me off how much of a horrible game this has become

The battlepass doesn't even reward ppl who grind. Every chest after completing the battlepass with gemium used to reward 50 now it 10. I used to get fighters currency now i get battlepass xp. Pfg has somehow devalued the ppl who grind the game even more. Wtf.

Watching this video after the game's shutdown announcement and I feel you guys. This game died as a result of the dev and wb's incompetence. Also surprise to see genshin being mentioned here because I play the game on and off and whenever i log back in there's always content waiting for me to enjoy and the game is single-player so you don't feel like trying to compete against strangers and that kind of solves the fomo aspect of the game. Genshin is always in the top 23 most played games on playstation and even in xbox most played game it's #30 i think. Fortnite is always #1 as well. In the case of Multiversus you can't just release a half as game in 2024 because you are going to be competing against established games like Fortnite and Genshin that has tons of content. You gotta release Multiversus oozing with content. I think in a way Marvel Rivals did just that and while idk what its future but as of this comment it is stil popular and topping the charts.
