To add even more guilt, there were even more characters that had been recently finished with all the dialoge, movest, animations, etc. Characters like Scooby-Doo, Gumball, Mordecai & Rigby, Gandalf, King Kong, Daffy, Dexter, Johnny Bravo, etc were finished and ready. Sad that we won't ever have them due to mismanagement with WB.

Actually I'm surprised that MultiVersus wasn't like Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL, that game was actually a pretty darn good Smash clone with a nice campaign mode that offered variety of either 2D platforming, shooter on-rails sections and fighting matches. And also it had some good unlockables.

What a pity, the fighting roster of Multiversus from Cartoon Network, DC Comics and the other properties of Warner Brothers were in my opinion pretty unique.

I'd like to take the time on the post to say this: People, switch to the Marvel Vs. Capcom Collection already. It just dropped on Xbox, and physical releases for the PS4 and Switch exist. This is especially since one of fighting games most important games, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, has finally been rereleased in this collection, and trying to get one of the original releases is going to be very difficult

There’s also another factor that nobody has talked about.There was basically only three franchises(DC, Looney Tunes , and Adventure Time) making up the playable roster. The reason Smash Bros works is because they’ve included playable fighters from multiple series instead of just Mario, Fire Emblem, and Pokémon.

This could’ve gone on to be a big hit with Hanna-Barbera fighters, Cartoon Network fighters, and DC fighters with iconic WB characters. Up there with the likes of Brawlhalla or Super Smash Bros. But we’ll never know because it never got the treatment it deserved. WB fumbled this game harder than the DCEU. They even a had a storyline in the game involving the Nothing which is a reference to The Neverending Story adaptation they did. This could’ve helped the game and maybe bring one of their films back into the spotlight but NO! They just had to fumble again!

since the open beta came out, this was one of the few games i truly loved and liked. i still remember how the only way to get Gleanium was through online purchases. Tony, one of the main devs, letted his greed take control and not add any of the most-wanted characters in the game, causing the downfall of Multiversus.

Wild how in this story of a WB property disappearing forever, Zaslav isn't the main villain for once. He certainly not losing any sleep over it, he absolutely had a hand in the games monetary practices, and at the end of the day he’s probably just mad that people still don’t care about Discovery+, but finding out that most of the problems with this game's progression and it’s speed and all of the stuff that people complained about boil down to The head guy at Player First Games was wild. When even the Mortal Kombat developers say your game is greedy there’s a problem. Like a huge problem.

It's like finding a gold mine and deciding to light a TNT blowing it up and caving it in Lack of PVE content (Rifts is dogsht), glitchy and clunky slow gameplay, and paying an empty game to fill the room with cash truly killed it to its grave also adding that WB doesn't know how to properly function at anything nowadays, not Movies and now not even games including this..total total shame
