The game is okay, the monetization is a massive turn off. Agent Smith is locked behind progression that you needed to grind for or spend money, or you're never gonna get him ever. Like with Beetlejuice he probably will be on those tiered rewards again. This is not good to show off in a fighting game event but more of Comic Con audience, cause they're not fighting game characters or have a legacy behind it, its WB cartoons and movies that are Smash Bros fans but also never developed anything besides this and this only cause they want to make a WB Smash clone, without the polish or the legacy like Sakurai did.

@gregwilliams4926 Beetlejuice is not a rift reward. Also, the monetization is significantly better than most other free games. You can get character currency fairly easily, and there's a new free currency which you can use to get some characters during events. They also give out premium currency much more generously than most other games. Some cosmetics are overpriced, but that's not a major problem.

All that is cool af but I've been a big fan of RWBY half of my life now and I'm still super excited for the possible reveal of Ruby since there were those datamined Rick voicelines of PPG AND a supposed "red riding hood" "anime girl" with a scythe. Jack, Beetlejuice and the Animaniacs which you can also see in the background at the end are also pretty cool additions too tho. Especially fitting since we're nearing Fall for Beetlejuice AND the sequel drops soon.

Everyone who keeps up with the leaks would've already known about both these characters, and WB/PFG has clearly put it in a solid effort to make sure that every single aspect of their game has to be paid for independently. Some missions even require that you own specific SKINS which can only be bought with Gleamium in order for you to even attempt them. Not to mention that the hitboxes and hurtboxes are completely out of whack, theres still connection problems (especially in 2s,) and they're only JUST NOW adding in a Ranked mode which I really don't even care to try because I'm among those that have uninstalled the game for good 🤣
