I think i understand let me explain it to yall:so since the mom killed the son but the son called the police before he got killed so when the mom found out that her son called the police on her she murdered alot of people before killing her son and when he found out that his mom is a murderer(because she saw his mom killing someone in the kitchen)he called the cops in his bedroom and when he was on the phone with the police his mom came in his room and realized that her son saw her and the mom thought that he was about to call the police because she thought that her son just saw her a few seconds/minutes ago so the mom grabbed a knife and chased her son the son was cornered in the living room and the police came rigth in time and shot the mom but she stabbed her son at the same time as she got shot but she got shot first so she got shot before she stabbed her son This is just a theory i don't know if this is the actually backstory also if your confused I'll explain it again if you like
