@@ShaneLawYT Yep, VMWare is used for the majority of OSFirstTimer videos. I had to disable something in Windows 11 (my host OS) to get VMWare working with good performance though.

I love that you guys are still making these videos, I remember watching you both a long time ago. good to see you still having fun playing with computers together. very wholesome content also that transformation pack looks cool - I definitely used similar programs back in the day to make the family pc look like a Mac- although mine completely overloaded the system making it painfully slow and annoying everyone in my family who complained that I never just "used the computer properly like a normal person" ... ha where's the fun in that?! keep it up, you guys make me smile

Great video, Phil! Been watching for many years now. It was fun to see Diana's opinion of the transformation pack and how she destoryed it in the end. I think a really interesting video idea could be where Diana reacts to a video or ISO of Windows 10 or 11 with the exact look and feel of something like Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP, ect. And if she would use one of those as her daily operating system or use it every now and then just for the look and feel.

In the past I attempted to go for at least 20 minutes for an episode, but my new low is 10 minutes to give smaller software a chance that I'd usually avoid because it doesn't have enough content. I feel the range to expect for an OSFirstTimer episode is 10 minutes to 1.5 hours. Most videos will be under the 45 minute mark though :)

THIS IS AMAZING!! I didn't know about this pack! Could you do ImSwordQueen's Windows 10 21H2-to-7 transformation pack? It came out only a few months ago this year and it's EXTREMELY accurate! Maybe you could just feature Windhawk, which is a 2 year old modloader for Windows that has tons of tweaks (or you might as well try Winaero Tweaker instead, as that's been around for a decade and it's more well known) Or could you do a video featuring Geckium, a CSS theme that makes Firefox look EXACTLY like ANY Google Chrome version from 1 to 58, and also provides DIRECT support with ACTUAL Chrome themes too? Maybe you could do an OSFirstTimer Advanced episode where Diana has to try make a theme for Firefox using CSS!

Yea, I feel these transformation packs make for cool Software episodes, for variety though, the next software episode (4 episodes from now) will have to be something different, but the next software episode after that (8 episodes from now) could be another transformation pack (a more modern one), such as what you suggested :)

I remember when my eldest brother decided to transform my Windows 7 laptop into OS X El Capitan, though I refused to let the taskbar become the menu bar for whatever reason, because I was silly. He also transformed my Windows 7 into Windows XP with the Luna Aero theme, and also Windows 8.1 into Windows 7 and Windows XP with the Royale theme.

Gosh, the first computer I used was a Mac (it was running OS X Mavericks I think?) and it was my dads 2011 iMac (he actually gave it to me and I use it with Monterey on with OCLP) but then I got a laptop running windows 7 and was struggling to use it because of the taskbar and stuff because I was used to the dock, I wish I had this!
