My electricity bill is around 10 times the normal amount. Generally I get around 1500 but this month I got s bill of rs 11800/-.

Appreciate your great efforts. I still dont understand why the central govt. & state govt. (both) taxes are levied on the public ... for such a basic necessity as residential electricity as that was initially provided by the government at subsidised rates .. If the govt. has chosen to privatise their responsibility towards the public...then they should ensure Adani personally pays it collectively to the govt..for being given access to such a large and continuous population market by the govt.. The government should ensure that Adani should "not recover" it from the public as it's not initially a luxurious commodity but an essential service. ..and metering rate of Adani is high enough to generate profits that are taxable. Any tax levied should be on the profit margin kept by ADANI (as a business venture) not on the base price of the units used by the consumer (as it's a basic necessity). State and Central govt..both wanting tax on electricity and Adani levying it from the public..is robbery...when Adani is supposed to pay for the profit gained from the public market.

All those people using Adani Powers, and who have got inflated bill, please cross check your Previous Reading with Current Reading. You may find that in April, 2020, the Closing Reading may have been 132580(assumption), in May, 2020, the Previous Reading may mentioned instead of 132580, it may be 131580 by Adani Electricity, which indicates that inflated bill of 1000 Units in May, 2020 Bill, thus inflated Bill to most consumers, most people are not checking this and most dont know how to check this. Please check this and take this up with Adani and the Regulator.

It's sad to witness the robbery by Adani by such high electricity rates , electricity disconnection threats, and billing issues...The British came as colonists and robbed the Indian people...that' is true and remembered...(yet in return unified our country...gave us the railways, electricity, transports , defences , postal services, waterworks, sanitation, and most other essentials that are still in use by our government today...with electricity services sold to private companies as Adani).... Our freedom fighters across all religions eventually fought against the British and DIED TOO, to drove them out to ensure our freedom...and stop oppression of our people. Their sacrifices seem to have been forgotten by our government /public servants/govt. appointed private companies or just remembered verbally without the sense of indepth reflection of obligation and responsibility towards the common mans problems. Now the Indian people are being robbed by such companies as ADANI who have such hidden agendas as meter readings by approximation, high metering rates, taxes to state and central govt..billed, threats of disconnection, towards the citizens- comparatively high bills...ALL DONE BY CAPITALISING ON THE INFRASTRUCTURE LAID DOWN BY THE BRITISH or initial GOVT. Enterprises. ROBBING THE INDIAN PEOPLE is equal to being an ENEMY OF INDIA and an act of TERRORISM. WHAT IS THE STATE AND CENTRAL INDIAN GOVERNMENT DOING??? SLEEPING????OR BLIND???OR INDIFFERENT TO LOSS OF AN INDIAN HUMAN LIFE...with a CHALTA HAI policy?? Electricity is basis necessity for humans and government sale it to private sector now they are charge high as well as included tax in individual Bill so that Adani can take huge profits and pay some parts ministers who love him and currupt aur society.
