This was through NH66. After Sangameshwar take left on the SH to Watul And then join NH66 again till Goa

We reached in around 12 hours. NH66 is relatively short and road conditions are fairly good.

The NH66 Route is improved, but still there are patches that are too bad.... specially if you enter into Ratnagiri district. You can try full fledged trip from Mumbai via Panvel

Yeah. We will try going via Panvel the next time. Since we had to reach by evening didnt take the risk of taking the panvel route.

Since you are traveling from Mumbai, you need to pass Nasik, malegaon n reach Dhule. From Dhule road condition is good.

I returned from goa yesterday took nh66 directly to palaspe phata and its challenging but fun. Prefer it to nh48 as it saves time.

@ThatWanderingCoupleIndia I have used this route while returning to Mumbai on couple of occasions, its faster and saves money on tolls. I drove 579 kms in 10H40M..

Since you guys took the khalapur pali route, you guys should have taken the Pali to Nizampur - Mangaon route. The route via Wakan phata nagothane, kolad Indapur is very bad. So never take Pali wakan route.

Regarding food try konkan स्टाईल , maharashtra style नॉर्थ,अँड साऊथ इंडियन फूड you can't expect Whenever we are travelling always insist for local style food

Yes. Authentic konkan food. Many restaurants dont serve proper konkan food.

The comment wasnt made at a specific cuisine or food type. Overall quality of food served at the restaurant wasnt that great as compared to the price. This was basis whatever we have travelled so far and our personal opinion. 😊
