I always take Godhra Modasa route, once went via Ahmedabad long back when 6 lane work was going on between Ahm and Udaipur. I keep it simple, leave thane at 5:15 AM and try and reach Udaipur by 6 PM or before. Usually it take around 12-13 hours and there is no way you can reduce that time as of now. good that you did not took Godhra route because when I went in March the roads was not as smooth as it used to be.

Once mumbai Delhi expressway is ready...then just reach Godhra interchange within 6 hours and then leave expressway towards udaipur... By next year udaipur will be reached in 9 hours max

Which route did you find better this or Godhra one and total toll price difference is how much ?

We find both good. See Godhra route is shorter and has no tolls. While Ahmedabd one is long and has tolls. Only difference is that in rains.godhra route road is not that good. However, this route is very calm and scenic and 4 lane.
