As I recall, Chester wrote this song from the perspective of his wife. The video came out the morning he passed.

I remember the day this video came out...i watched it after work, then i go out to buy something to eat, and when i came back i saw the news all over internet that Chester commited suicide...i was silent for the rest of that day...staring at the screen, one month earlier i was at their show in Europe, seen him live for the last time. I miss those days.

Okay JoJo, I’m really glad you’re doing more Linkin Park, however, I guess I’ll give you a list, if I list any you’ve already done, ignore them: One Step Closer, Bleed It Out, Somewhere I belong, Breaking The Habit, The Catalyst, Hit The Floor, Given Up ( which I think you already did), Leave Out All The Rest, Faint, Figure.09, and Shadow Of The Day. If I didn’t list any , I think you’ve already reacted to them. Thank you JoJo

Hey Jojo! I only just found your channel today, and I'm glad to see that you really like Linkin Park songs, and seeing you hearing and reacting to them for the first time really hit home. It felt like me when I first listened to them back in 2003 and followed them all the way to now. Many people have shared songs that you should listen to, and they are all right in that those songs really made Linkin Park what they are today. One album I see missed out, and what I think you really to go and listen to, is Reanimation (if you haven't yet listened to it). Its a remix of Hybrid Theory's songs, and it would be nice to see you react to them! Cheers! :)

I saw Linkin Park at Big Day Out in 2011 I'm pretty sure (I'm Aussie) and they were 10000x more goosebumpy live. it legit broke my heart when Chester left us. it wasn't exactly a secret how much he struggled, only have to pay attention to lyrics in almost every one of his tracks to know his demons were slowly taking him down. watch some documentaries on him. get to know him. you connected with the band straight away, I think you'll learn some personal lessons that will help you, by getting to really see Chester's soul and why he chose to leave the earth. He's still the biggest loss to me in the music world. He had so much more to give. RIP (rock in peace) Chester ❤

Only recently discovered this song myself and it immediately had to go in my spotify and youtube playlists. Linkin Park has so much incredible music and like you said last time you can vibe to it and get one feeling and then you actually pay attention to the lyrics and there's a whole new dimension to it. Looking forward to you continuing the journey of digging through this band's musical history. So many more god nuggets to discover.

This is off my Least favorite album by them. You just keep waiting for the heavy guitars to drop and the whole album is like SIKE, nope, not gonna punch it up, and you're just left w/musical blue balls by the end. I LOVE LP, but this album just was far from their best. The part of this song that annoys me is the "oooOOooo" bits are cringe to me. I love them but felt let down by the band on this.
@Bishaps2 жыл бұрын
I don't know, i feel like its a bit weird to feel let down by the band. I mean, its ok if you don't like the album as much as previous ones, but you can't say that its bad, at least if we talk about this specific genre it was made in. The whole album sounds poppy, but its the best pop music i've ever heared, and sometimes i want to listen to songs like Heavy, Good Goodbye, One More Light, Halfway Right, Battle Symphony more than lets say Crawling. Its great, that LP has so many different music styles for so many different people, and different moods, its one of the reasons why i love this band more than any else.
@R.senals_Arsenal2 жыл бұрын
@@Bishaps On its own, just as an album, its probably ok, I just know what they are capable of, and this doesn't measure up. That's what I mean. If this was the 1st album I heard by them I might like it, but given how awesome I know they can be I can't help but be underwhelmed.
