I owned a car that has surpased the reliability expectations. 2006 Ford Focus 1.6 Z6 engine. Bought at 221 000 kms, drove it up to 460 000kms trouble free until I lost it in the car accident. As a result I replaced it with facelift 2010 1.8 Ford Focus with 198 000 kms, I do a lot of travelling, so far sitting 229 000kms. I must admit the 2006 focus is solid reliable and never broke anything and I mean nothing, extremely reliable.

I owned a 2005 Ford Focus 1.6 Z6 engine at 230 000 kms. Drove it up to 300 000kms. Solid engine. Only recurring issue was the petrol pump, but mainly due to bad mechanical work done.

I also had the Golf 5 2.0 tdi for about 2yrs. The only issue they mostly suffer from is cracked cylinder head on the earlier models and they end up burning coolant. Otherwise good powerful car especially for towing light trailer 🤞💪

Driving mark 1, 2.0TDI Tiguan for 11yrs no major issue now at 330 000km. I would prefer it not to have the DPF, although I had no issue mine still original because I frequently do freeway driving. The key again is frequent oil change and allow turbo time to cool after hard driving. I want to see if it can go to 400 000km.

Another car that will suprised many if well maintained, is E90 BMW 325 LCI with N52 engine, how do explain driving a BMW for 5 years trouble free except aircon pump failure. Best engine if serviced religously 10 000 kms oil change interval.
@nhlanhlamagagula74677 ай бұрын
Well said...also true for BMW M54 engine is a good engine if well maintained, had it since 80k now at 455k minor issues done on it ,the gasket and vanos seals need to replace the seals only once...Bmw's just need oil change regular, I change the oil viscosity from 5-30 to 10-40 due to mileage to seal those seals rings/seals
