I like how Mumei was genuinely mad at the NPCs doing such a horrible job. This is why if they need an NPC for a teamate, NPC Kronii should do the trick

Left 4 Dead bots are actually fairly good. At anything that does not involve saving you from a special infected, or 'rush' segments where you have to race through an area against a never-ending swarm. Unfortunately, The Parish Bridge is a Rush segment from start to finish, on a narrow area filled with obstacles. The optimum strategy is to have adrenaline shots and literally ignore the first Tank and bum rush the exit during the programmed lull in common spawns when the Tank comes. It's a hard level for inexperienced players, much less for bots to path through.

Yeah, I think I've never complained over bots on L4D series. Means they're pretty decent in my dictionary. Not smart but def programed well enough to be a helper instead of becoming liabilities. When I said liabilities I was referring to you AoE3 and DotA2! Your bots are half-assed checklist-filling bots with zero common sense and response to any sort of command, shame on you!

@@davidtogi5878 I played a lot of VS mode back in the day, and a team of 3 players and 1 bot is honestly harder to fight as infected than a full 4 player squad, because the bot is REALLY good at detecting special infected as long as there's line of sight, and there aren't many reliable ways to exploit its AI. Pretty impressive for how old the game is.

Eh, they aren't that good at all. I remember re-playing the game with my ex a couple of years ago and often the strat was to just leave the bots behind hoping that they would die and not rely on them at all.

Never trust an NPC, even if they seems to be doing great work, they are NPCs and sooner than later they are going to start doing random things :D

L4D NPCs seem to see Specials in the fog of war, but do not know how to hit a Smoker in front of them.

NPCs aren't amazing, but they're still useful. They're not there to carry your ineptitude, which Mumei was really asking for.

That bridge section started fine, then absolute chaos after, probably cause the map is small an the Npc's path find badly, a shame as Mumei praised them at the start. 1:17 Biboo got knocked off the bridge by a tank iirc. Rochelle got tangled up by a smoker huh, i wondered what happened to her, thought she got knocked off the bridge as well.

L4D NPCs are never that helpful... they're bots, and pampered luggages if anyone among Hololive chose to play Custom maps... in Expert mode. L4D as a game has plenty of odd issues coded by Valve's game designers...
