I have so much respect for Mumford and Sons. Every one of their songs, is a masterpiece and they are so passionate when they sing. Best music group I've ever heard.
@lucadullaart61188 жыл бұрын
+Natalie Mogel all the lyrics are so deep aswel, that's (apart from the brilliant composition aswel of course) what gives the songs so much heart.

But they haven't had much success regarding singles in charts a very underrated band there music is brilliant,if the charts were based on talent they would be no 1 everytime compared to some of the music now all about image and about the actual talent of the singer

I don't know why I listening to this. I always get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes from this song. the pain in his voice is overwhelming. I'm not particularly religious either, strange. 🤷

This is my favorite song of all time. The whole lyric of this song is awesome!. This song inspired me to write a fragment for my future book: "And when all her injustices were discovered under her reign, that was the day she lost all his loyalty and he swore to himself that would not follow anyone else and from now on, he will forge his own destiny. Finally, he prepared all his things and thus entered the abyss without turning to see everything he was about to leave behind ... "

Fucking amazing, and the string breaking at the very last strum before the last lines were a perfect finish to the crescendo, intense.

I think, as music fans themselves, they can understand and appreciate how someone can be so moved by the music of a bunch of "ordinary guys". There must be a band/artist that moves you!? Consider that perhaps not everyone feels that way about that band/artist but if you do, that's all that really matters. That's what makes the "relationship" between musician and fan so amazing.

It's a D in this song. He tunes it to an open D minor tuning.
@IgnoreMyName10 жыл бұрын
Matttized Funny thing is that even if it was in standard, it wouldnt be the high E. He broke the G string, which in open D is F#.
@heavensshareholder10 жыл бұрын
IgnoreMyName The song is tuned to open D minor so that would be an F not F#
@IgnoreMyName10 жыл бұрын
Sorry mate, it's F#, Marcus has said it himself
@heavensshareholder10 жыл бұрын
That's the case for most of their songs...but for "I Gave All" and "Broken Crown" it's F. For songs like "Babel", "Holland Road", "The Cave", and "Lover's Eyes," it's an F#, as they're open D tuning. Although "The Cave" is capoed to open E tuning.

1:25 of this song gives me goose bumps every time! I love how he sings this so passionately. Anyone talking during this song does not deserve to be at a Mumford concert. I am American and utterly ashamed. Please, respect the artist on stage!
@TheGorgatron5153 жыл бұрын
I agree a few of them were being obnoxious but you have to remember really good musicians can be fueled by the crowd. Some band to deal with it well some don't. Take red hot chili peppers for instance, I don't really like most of their music but seeing them live was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. They feed off of each other's energy in the crowd's energy so well that it makes the experience so much better. I do feel though that some of them could have waited until the end of the song for the loud screaming. I guess it's possible they didn't realize there was more to the song. But as I said a good musician uses the energy of the crowd never lets it hold them back.

This crowd is way more calm than I'd ever be if I was that close to the stage

2 words, fucking amazing
@davidwalker22812 жыл бұрын
It's in Open D minor actually, (DADFAD) - previously used in 'I Gave You All' and 'Thistle and Weeds'. Like a lot of Mumford & Songs, the sound is mainly through just fretting the lowest bass string, and the 3rd string (what is normally G), leaving the others open to ring out. In this tuning, watching the videos it should be relatively easy to figure out.
@TokyoKazama11 жыл бұрын
Its actually one of the most bad ass things I've ever seen during a live performance. A string breaking, luckily it was towards the end of the song so he could finish. The cool part was afterwards, when his B string got out of tune. Poor Marcus, lol.
