It always pisses me off when people say things like "RIP M&S" or "they sold out". They didn't sell out!! They made two albums of folky, banjo-infused music. It was time for them to evolve. And personally, I love their new sound. Much love from Canada, Mumford!!!

Charlie Hutchinson the reasons bands "sell out" is because they want the fame and glory and make a living while having something to show for it to the world. they'll do what ever it takes to get that, even if it means switching to a mainstream generic sound. which i find nothing wrong with it at all. everybody should have the right to make a killing at what they love to do. look at Old Crow Medicine Show. you know, the band that helped M&S sell over half a million records. and also the the singer of the OCMS wrote the song Wagon Wheel and played that song all over America and Europe and that song didn't become a coast to coast hit until they sold it to Darius Rucker. Anyway, Old Crow has stuck to their traditional sound that they started with, and they got pretty damn popular. Popular enough to get inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. they still haven't changed their sound and now their popularity is slowly dwindling and nobody is seeing the effort, assistance, and influence Old Crow has given to M&S. i mean they'll always be bad ass to me and they'll always be remembered.
