Europeans are big and tall. I think, the ideal size for a Judoka to be effective is not-so-tall and big bodied. If an opponent is 6 footer and big bodied the other must be at least 3 or 4 footer and big bodied to counter best the taller one.the lower guy has the advantage of lower center of gravity when it will squat as he grapple and this make it harder to move to tumble it.

I think, by his looks, that he was aiming to the left lapel of Muneta as his hand was pushed to the other side with force. I presume it was not deliberate
