I dont think Bill Burr gets his flowers from the public for his place in comedy but also some of these bits that are 8-10 years old are now looked upon as legendary bits the same as we now look back on 8-10 of the Chappelle Show skits as legendary moments in comedy..... Bill Burr comes from that Boston area where there was a very strong comedy scene back in the day. Conan O'Brien is from there too and a whole bunch of other dudes who have gone on to do quite well for themselves from the Boston hotbed. I'm sure someone knows other names, but all I know is that it was a popping scene and all these great comedians pushed each other to even greater highs...

There are some great black lax players in history....Jim Brown, John Walker, Kyle Harrison, Myles Jones, Damien Davis, John Christmas, Syd Abernethy As a former lax player born in 71, it has always disappointed me that black folks have not taken a greater interest....especially the kinds of kids who go in to track/football/basketball. Part of it is there is no pro future that is really viable. It used to be private prep schools, true, but there was always a very heavy public school presence in upstate NY, parts of new england, Long Island, Maryland (suburbs). Nowadays, it's huge in public schools in a lot of places and growing quickly. There are kids coming from everywhere these days....Utah, Colorado, California, Florida etc Hopefully talented young black athletes will take more of an interest....it is a really great sport, and not nearly as "elitist" as some folks have tried to portray it in the past.

Well, I don't know about that specific theory... but it is proven that the strongest people come from west Africa, like ivory Coast and Nigeria... facts! Why need to make it difficult to have a conversation about this? I'm not saying that anyone is better or worse, or more entitled to anything, more skilled or more valuable because of it.
