What is that even supposed to me as it has never been explained to be succinctly. I understand formal language or highbrow language or sophisticated English especially if it’s inherent to the subject matter. One isn’t going to speak about an academic subject or enter a formal situation and speak in an informal vernacular or slang. I’m tired of hearing this bullshit about speaking properly or speak well. What does that even mean because any good reader is a good speaker and one needs to be a formidable reader to be a good speaker
