I'm so happy we finally have a true representation of a REAL R&B artist. Pop culture is heavily influenced by R&B. So much so that, you'd think it was a black artist singing. So, I'm beyond excited for Muni! And I also love how she represents for the skinny BW who are often ostracized in the black community for not being "thick enough". Honestly, I think the promotion of larger bodies in the bc helped to push obesity back then. Because they wanted thickness, but didn't understand that food addiction is real. And them ladies trying to get thick couldn't just stop at thick and ended up get unhealthily obese unwillingly. The Standard American Diet is no joke.

I agree I love seeing muni getting her flowers. How I like to look at why r&b and hip hop is so saturated in pop culture. It Just shows how black culture is AND will always be the bar that needs to be met. We set the trends . After all. Modern music as we know it derived from our ancestors. Rock n roll , country , jazz , pop you name it. And we will keep on trailblazing. Even K-pop heavily pulls from technical jazz and r&b structure.
