The Dragons fired their head coach the day before the game, and looked like they may have had only 25 players dressed to play. Suffice to say there's some drama going on. EDIT: Coach resigned, not fired. Also word on the street is the team held a vote on whether to even show up to this game. They voted yes overall but apparently the starting QB didn't agree and didn't show. There's red flags everywhere.

The league has issued a statement: The European League of Football has noted with great surprise and dismay that the Barcelona Dragons players have decided not to play in the second half of today's game against the Munich Ravens. The ELF immediately contacted the ownership group and the General Manager of the Barcelona Dragons. "As the team was outnumbered, increasing the risk of injury, the decision was made for the safety of the players." The statement also noted the Dragons "parted ways" with head coach David Shelton on Friday.

When I saw Munich had racked up 50 points before halftime, I thought we might get another Canada vs Brazil IFAF style blowout. Admittedly, Munich probably would have let off the gas had the 2nd half been played, but this is just embarrassing. If Barcelona can't play or won't play a full game, they should just pack up the rest of their season. Not only is it a bad look for the team, but the league as a whole.

The point differential is still important in the seeding and playoff qualification. So I think the Ravens would not have stopped in the 2nd half.

Spain doesn't have the American football Infrastructure too support 2 teams. Youth Programs. Elf requires home grown players that have talent. Spain doesn't have enough. Drop Barcelona immediately
