Berlin is "Poor but sexy". Munich is wealthier and is much more proper. Honestly both cities are great and I love visiting the both of them!

Both cities have their pros and cons. I'd really love to live in Munich but the rent prices and housing scarcity is scaring me. But the same thing isbgrafually happening in Berlin anyway so let's see what the future brings.

I think - as always - it depends on what kind of person you are. Both cities have a lot of history and culture to offer. I prefer Berlin...it is bigger and has such variety to offer; that everyone can pick from whatever they like in terms of food, living and people.

Sorry, Objection: In Munich are living 25,5 % Foreigners and in Berlin only 15,5 %. Peaple with migrantroots in Munich about 38 %; in Berlin only lower than 20 %. The number of countries where they are from is equal about 190 Countries. Munich is more multicultural and was always the Culture-Capital of Germany. Here in Munich are the jewels; Berlin maybe is only hypy.

@loveartandscience62893 жыл бұрын

Munich had one big advantage, World War 2 had not that deep impact to Munich than to Berlin. Berlin was not only cutted into two peaces, it was also splitted in two systems and with a Communist system around West Berlin, the city lost everything all the industry and factories left the city. Companies like Siemens (&Halske), AEG, Borsig, Schering, Die Lufthansa Airline, Die UFA Film Industrie, Telefunken, Die Deutsche Bank that's only a few of so many and the most famous that were founded in Berlin, the list is much longer. Without that fact nobody would really ask about Munich today. It's a nice, clean little city with funny people. The only opportunity Berlin had was the tourism and the space. The city of Berlin lost almost 45 years and started a lot of the rebuilding in 1990/1991 and it's still happening. Munich is boring, you work in Munich to pay your rent, you work in Berlin to live your life. Berlin is inadequate and untidy and i like that a title was not important. But people in high positions try to changed that to make Berlin a high society place ( Stock im Arsch) /City. Comparing these two cities is not really possible anymore. Maybe Hamburg or Cologne with Munich
