Never ever it was part of any Tamil kingdom or British raj; Devikulam - nothing to do with land exchange later between two states. However, tamil descendants are more in the area like Srilanka started after 1800. It is true Kerala was part of Tamil kingdom as like any part of Dravidian territory in the south and had that family relation between kings of tamilnadu. The rjas of Pandalam originally from Tamilnadu and they hand over the territory to Travancore kingdom later stage.

Don't worry those places are in Tamizhagham. Meanwhile 5dams of Kerala under the custody and ownership are under Tamizh government. Devikulum, peeramedu, munnar, rajakkada, neyyantankkarai, palakkad and parts of wayanadu are Tamizh people dominated. It's mini Tamizhgham.

Tamils are hardworking people. They traveled to different places whole across Asia in search of Job opportunities etc. even 100s of years back. This became common during the time of the British and French in India. Sri Lanka(committed genocide against Tamils), Kerala(Tamils are welcome) - Munnar was not famous until the Tea plantation came after foreigners said no to Kodaikanal. Tamils came for work in Munnar, they were not natives. It was not easy to make a living in Munnar before as it was a lush forest. Karnataka(South part mainly), Maharastra, Andhra, Malaysia(faces racism), Indonesia, Myanmar(they killed many Tamils and also deported many Tamils), Singapore(faces racism), Fiji(faces racism), Réunion(French colony near Madagascar. Faces racism) South Africa(faces racism), Just because we get a job on others' land, It is not ok to claim ownership of the land. Be thankful that you are welcome in Kerala and open-mindedness of political institutions and the people of Kerala for letting banners written in Tamil freely in Munnar. Peace. We are brothers. Munnar= munnu + aruu... its Malayalam for 3 streams of small rivers. Have some shame.
