I visited the same factory above sometime early March this year and truly enjoyed the trip. Everything look pleasant and nice. However I do wish the tea planation workers working on the tea plantation are equally compensated for the hard work they put into daily.

Tea gardens of Munnar are breathtaking. I know because I have visited that place. But unfortunately today looking at the workers plucking leaves it reminded me of the grave reality of how and why ‘plantations’ were introduced in India, the rigid and unpleasant work life of tea planters during britishers. The no. Of workers who sacrificed their lives fighting against plantations. Hopefully things are much different now, and these people have a decent life.
@deepblue36826 жыл бұрын
Still life is not that good..but comparitavely better...earlier there used to be lots of tamilians and keralites working in tea plantations..but these days north Indian workers have started coming to plantations in Kerala as workers..coz new generation of old tea plantation workers have got food education and they are now working in more profitable jobs and business....cheap labour is difficult in Kerala and south india in general..but as it is a labour intensive process..more labours are in need..

Please visit the Tea and Coffee gardens in Samse, Karnataka. It is at the border of Dakshina Kannada and Chikmagalur districts. The trek to the top of the Kudremukh mountain is quite tough otherwise you could catch a glimpse of Arabian Sea and the Konkan coast from the top of the hill. The place is not much of a foodie's delight. The only two places where you could get decent food are the KALASA and Horanadu temples. You could always request the homestays to serve you local exotic fare.

Harish sir I really appreciate the tea garden tour you brought to the viewers .... regarding a small favor which really breaks my heart is the condition of tea garden industry in duars ( West Bengal ) and chincona plantation are not doing well plants have grown tall and people are suffering financially and physically so many deaths occurred which went unknown and no media covered it because you know sir our media is only for politics, cricket , cow , religion and celebrities and we being an agricultural country people and farmers and their families are suffering now most of the people from that place have headed to metropolitan cities to work and some with skills and talents to gulf countries and I don’t know once such beautiful tea plantations now most of it has been closed hope someone takes this matter seriously especially our Government. And the poor peoples future who work on daily wages
@visa2explore6 жыл бұрын
I think in today's time .. at an individual level we should try and do some thing for farmer.. i don't know what at this stage but farmer is the person who needs support.....may be some way through which they can do better.... I was at Bikaner farm visit i did there... i spoke to the farmer that why can't he offer farm visit to travellers and ask them to pay for the visit that will help him fund his farm aspirations ... he liked the idea but point is - they don't know how to go about, internet knowledge etc... but yes all said... bottomline - farmers do need support
