Another great video,I've done I think 118 Munro's ,before camera phones ,and my memory is not as good as it was ,the hills I've walked seem to merge into one.So thank you for this brought back some memories with this video ,like I say I'm not very good with memories ,getting old .but thank you.again. great times doing hills ,with fine company of friends ,but for the life of me my mind has gone blank.on these.👍👍

Hi Kris. I saw your link at the end of Murray's (Scotland's Mountains) last vlog. Really enjoyed the calm commentary and great camera work, especially the pipits! Looking forward to exploring more of your walks - Subscribed... I'm pleased to see Mrs. Mountain Goat only had superficial injuries. Stay safe

@@ScottishMountainGoat no problem. What I'd love to see in your videos is wee bit more data. Perhaps how many km/miles walked, how difficult the navigation was etc. I think that would really help beginners like moi! Cheers.

The gimbal seen on your thumbnail will explain that buttery smooth footage. 😁 Hope Mrs Mountain Goat is okay, gives you a real fright that and shows how quickly things can go wrong.

Haha busted, though it doesn't come out as smooth as you'd think! It doesn't like the wind lol. Yeh she's doing fine, need to get one of those Zorb balls for going down next time lol 😆

@@ScottishMountainGoat 🤣 take it you film in a high frame rate to slow it down for that mint cinematic effect. 👌🏼 Maybe not, I'm sure a Russian zorbed to their death at a ski resort going over a steep drop. 😮
@ScottishMountainGoat4 жыл бұрын
Yeah usually film in 60fps and have the videos running at 30 so I've got the option to slow it down to half speed. If I want a super slow mo, the camera can do 120fps but only in HD so I gotta upscale and lose a bit of quality so I don't do that as much. Jeezeo! Health and safety out the window there lol!
@WalkWithWallace4 жыл бұрын
@@ScottishMountainGoat aye 60fps gives you a bit more to play with in post. 😁

That was such a beautifully shot video Kris I had to watch it twice in a row! Utter Brilliance buddy and nothing less than what I have come to expect from you impeccable attention to detail in your vlogs. I am so glad your girl was okay, bet you saw her falling in slow motion before the brain kicked you into action? Well done you for saving the day! The cars parked at Ben Lawers looked a riot! Keep up the great work Kris, Well done on getting over 500 well earned subscribers btw! I think you'll easily be at 1000 before the end of the year for sure. :-) Best Regards, Douglas .

Came across this looking for info on these 2 Munro's, great images, will definitely keep watching. One question, how is the road along like for a camper van/motor home? Does it have passing places? Cheers.
@ScottishMountainGoat3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Graeme. The roads up there do have passing places but they are very narrow. Ive never driven a camper before but I'd say it would be OK for a smaller camper but as for the bigger ones, I probably wouldn't take one up there.
