Sis your not alone. I too am working on being a proverbs 31 wife. I too need to be more respectful and submissive to my husband Sis. Something that helps me out in this area is being mindful that God requires me to respect my husband regardless if he respects me or not. Being mindful that during arguments or disagreements instead of being rude and disrespectful with saying things back to him we have to strive to go and pray. Sis its not always easy to hold our peace and something that will help woman is to first ask the LORD to show us whats in our own heart and deliver us and repent when we do disrespect our husband because its actually sin against God. We also need to fast deny ourself some breakfast instead seek God get in His Word and read to apply what we read. So that we can be doers of the Word of God not just forgetful hearers. Sis we have to be God conscious/does Jesus get any glory our of how I am acting or talking towards my husband

I was reluctant to listen to this cause of the title and then I thought that persuing to be a perfect woman is better than persuing to being a less perfect woman. In my life I have normalized to not seek the better version of myself. However the part of not putting pressure on a man is foolishness to me. If I dont put pressure on myself and children, we dont excel. Why would I want a man who only performs half of his potential? I have a boyfriend now and when I do a lot he gets comfortable and lazy so I put on some pressure and demand more and he maybe doesn't do all but he does more. Life in all is a game of overcoming obstacles and feeling the pressure to be and do more. Two ppl should meet to live, go through hardships and grow together. Otherwise, I like this 👍🏽👍🏽

Thanks 🙏 Dr. Myles. I set my alarm so that I can get up for work. I get up drink tea before leaving for work. Hubby will drink his coffee and go. I pack me a sandwich for breakfast and lunch with some fruit and water. With agreement we fix our meals except dinner because we both work away from home. We pay our mortgage together. Both cook and clean. No maids. He's Nigerian and I'm an American woman and happily married 5 years praise God 💕🙏.
