To be honest, reading the Bible is harder than people would like to admit because it is a modern translation of an ancient text which is itself based on older concepts. Proverbs is probably the most accessible. But you should also look into "Hermenutics" and other decoding aids like the Interlinear Bible, Strong's Concordance, if you would like to read and understand for yourself. The metaphysical bible is also a great tool as well.

Definitely both. I mostly listen to the bible since I'm always stuck in my day job and driving to and from work but still there was some time to read. Don't feel bad though if you find yourself listening to him more than you are in your bible cuz Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. If it wasn't for Myles making the word plain and understandable, I would not have had my own revelation of the kingdom. At this point, I barely listen to him anymore. I tend to take a few months at a time not listening to him before he pops up on my KZbin feed again. There are a lot of tricks to learn from Myles about how to really understand the bible, and it's because I listened to him so much before that I no longer need to listen to him as much now. I can read, study, and research the bible for myself now way better than I was before I found Myles. If you're really seeking, you'll find the right balance. As long as you're in prayer, the Holy Spirit will talk to you and give instruction in this area if needed.

Read the Bible for it’s God’s word. Test the spirit when you listen to people claiming to be sent from God or teaching God’s word. Make sure it aligns to God’s word or else it is lies! Gods word is the foundation.
