yupie when you have 70% of possession and don't score a single try, it precisely means you are doing nothing with the ball. In other words, Munster slowed down the ball and pretty much watched the clock ticking waiting for USAP to create and eventually feed on their mistakes. It is the kind of rugby that wins but does not deserve to. It is not ambitious, it is cynical and dull to watch.

Truth is for a nation that plays Province rugby (as opposed to club rugby) you should be as good as the All Blacks given the availability of your players and the few games you have in a year. But your silverware shows otherwise pals, so don't get cocky with one Munster classy win (I admit that), their first in a long series of boring kicking/slowing the ball games.

Don't make me laugh like2surf, Munster are specialists in slowing down the ball, this is their bread and butter. This is how they won the Heineken against Stade Toulousain. At least USAP managed to score some good tries. O'Gara could well be back in the Irish jersey given his performance but Munster is one of those boring team that wins under the current format. I hope this year, a more ambitious team will win it like Leicester or Clermont.

One international success in a century (plus one European and one domestic), something to be proud of but nothing to get cocky about... Besides the likes of BOD, O'Gara or O'Connell won't be here forever. This weekend Munster beats the likes of Yohan Vivalda (21 y.o.), Bertrand Guiry (21 y.o.) Yannick Parent (23 ans) and Maxime Mermoz (23 y.o.). Well done but make your own conclusion and don't expect that feat to happen again.

Rush defence plus up and unders, typical Munster gameplay, nothing else... Even the brilliant Doug Howlett looks like he could play for England or South Africa. It sickens me when a team that scores 3 tries against none ends up being the loser. The IRB should be looking at 2 points for penalties, and leave it 3 for drop goals (because you still need the technique to pass them between the post) and 5 for a try. That would force the likes of Munster and Cardiff Blues to PLAY the ball.

Nah, Munster played the better rugby but USAP were constantly slowing down the ball, offside and distrupting Munster's game and they were punished for it in the end.

Your showing a huge amount of ignorane, as I Leinster fan this pains me but look at Munsters European record and eat humble pie. As for Irish rugby we have plenty of youth coming through just look at some of the backs that went on the Lions tour all 4 provinces have good talent through. By the way Cocky is playing those youngsters you mentioned against a team like Munster and hoping to have a snowballs chance in hell of winning. Heart is not something you can teach Irish Rugby has it in spades!

Yeah right wait for the Six Nations when you take Mafi, Howlett, de Villiers and a few others out of the team, you will look like schoolboys. Other teams are no longer in construction, I would be surprise Ireland can put another one out of the hat. (one in a century that is... schoolboys you ;-)

yupie you are not making any sense, USAP scored 3 tries, you don't manage that by kicking the ball all over the place like Munster does every time they enter the pitch. I want to see Munster getting thrashed by a team that runs the ball. Any team I don't care but this is rubbish rugby. People who don't know about rugby and watch that would go straight back to football.
