Gassiev needs to take dance classes as his footwork is poor and he is not big enough to box in that style at HW. If he had lateral movement and could attack at different angles.. he may be much more effective at this weight class.

Wallin was much more active. He handled Murat's power I saw that as a one sided fight he won almost every round. Murat looks very skilled and very athletic but I think he needs to throw more punches. I couldn't find the punch stats on this but it had to be at least 2 to 1.

Murat doesn't look athletic at all. After moving up to hw he's looked so slow and lazy. Peopl just wanted to believe so badly he could be a real threat at hw but he never showed it

I don't understand why they gave the victory to the Swede? Alan Murat Gassiev strikes all accurate and heavy blows. The Alanian has all the punches strong and well-aimed, and the Swede just throws Jbe, and this is inaccurate. His Jbe gets into the glove of an Alanian, others fly into the air, and the victory goes to him? What are the new rules in boxing? In short, it doesn't matter if I hit or not, I'd like to wave my arms and hit or not - it doesn't matter? The Alanian won here, and the Swedish runner won. I knew that if an Alanian did not knock out a Swede, he would not be awarded a victory, because Europeans do not like Alanya, it's because the Alans are on the side of the Russians and because of this, and once again, 25 Anglo-Saxons acted unfairly. Otto Wallin has learnt to keep his guard up. Too many boxers try to imitate Muhammad Ali's style by dancing and lowering their guard in order not to telegraph their punches. You must have extreme intuition, intelligens and reflexis to do so. Fury is the only one today who can do that. The first boxer who successfully practiced moving around in the ring with the arms hanging down was Joe Walcott. Robert Helenius tried but became an easy target for a boxers like AJ, Wilder and will get knocked out even by Otto Wallin if he doesn't keep his gloves high up and his body low.

Otto was able to take care of Murat's aggressive boxing style , Murat's prob against Otto was he kept coming forward with his head low so , gave Otto chance to gather points . That was the style that gave Lenox upper hand against Evander. The better side won.

Unfortunately.... I think the decision was fair, and what it should be. I was hoping Gassiev would win, but he kept getting jabbed all night long, and he simply didn't punch enough. He should've let his hands go free much earlier. Wallin is great, but Gassiev is better. This fight... his strategy simply didn't work. At heavyweight, he has too much reach disadvantage most of the time. He should develop the Peak-a-boo style like Mike Tyson. It worked for Mike and I think it'd work better for getting in on taller guys for Gassiev as well. Well, this was disappointing. I hope he stays boxing. He has enough talent to be in contention for the heavyweight title but he doesn't punch enough and he lets people punch him too much. Congrats to Wallin. Good strategy.

@@GrubblandeGrapplern Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson. Very few people in the world would say Buster Douglas is/was/ever will be anywhere near Mike Tyson's caliber as a fighter. Yet... on one night, with the right strategy, lightning struck. I don't think it's near as egregious example, but Gassiev is the better fighter with more talent. Wallin was lucky Gassiev didn't fight a smarter fight. Both Wallin and Douglas didn't so much win their fights as their opponents (gassiev and tyson) lost them, both with poor strategy among other things...

Such a clean fight. None of them was seeking to clinch. Both of them protected themselves efficiently. Gassier was in trouble only ones (the sixth round) and Wallin was in a similar situation a few rounds later. Wallin's jabbing made the difference. These guys belong to the best in the division. Only Fury and Wilder are somewhat better. Usyk is on the same level as Wallin and Gassiev. With a bit of luck Wallin could beat Usyk, but I doubt he'll get that chance. Gassiev's style fits Usyk perfectly, so Gassiev should avoid facing Usyk in a return fight, better to take on Parker or Chisora. Wallin deserves a shot at Usyk now or after yet another win among the ranked boxers. Finally Fury should be stripped of his WBC title and let others fight for it.
