Didn't watch the entire thing, and not sure if it was mentioned, but this really stems from Smack stealing the popular Reed clip from 2 Raw for the Streets, putting it on his DVD, and placing a Smack logo over top of the 2 Raw logo. That Reed clip made Smack more of a known brand by being in the bigger media market, while 2 Raw remained more so local.

From freestyles and interviews, he had the same format as SMACK, but it was in the late 90s and 2000s. He was a lil before SMACK. Anyway, Reed has to be ready for those angles. Hell yeah bruh and his disses were one of a kind he was killing the shit so savagely that he changed how other m.c .s battle he was the blueprint for so many of the guys today (he was way ahead of his time man) and in the face off IMHO reed looked better and definite hungrier I’m really hoping he finally takes him down a leg back to the other top tier guys that he’s not acknowledging almost as if they need as much time In and the push he had to be on the top level I.e lux but in the face off reed ain’t bull shiting he’s being honest 💯 that they had beefs that would get millions of views with dudes who didn’t have names in rap close to theirs but it not only boosted more Philly rappers and give them the shot to respond (putting their own spot on the line by doing so and helping lower talent I.E. D. Jones but how they don’t see that they did that to boost the scene itself? Is beyond my comprehension. I remember that and that’s why Philly has such a strong presence in rap with a smaller city and less financial backing or money being spent in their city in comparison to NYC but his old frees man 🤯 . “move it over super soakers come with the backpack,” his bars are so good that other killer bars would get slept on cause it came during the reaction the first ten listens you gotta listen to reeds shit multiple times just to get everything but yo bro ,”Philly x 3 I’m stepping up to the center with that all black Beretta, let me put some lead in ya, and I got my blade too, the one that was on Predator, I be with whateva bruh, grindin, Exedra

@@northphillybul8577 That wasn't the only question, you think Facebook was the first social networking platform? Of course not, but if you watched the video it was also about who really built battle rap or had more of an impact, that's the real question hence why they were going back and forth in regards to impact and who touched more states, Smack DVD eclipses every other DVD/brand in regards to that. 2 Raw for the streets didn't cross continents like Smack DVD at the time. Even in today's era, through Smack/URL battle rap has grown, it all comes back to smack so 2 raw for the streets I salute them, they could've been out a couple years earlier but even that headstart didn't matter.
