Not actually. AFAIK, Mettaton's living in one of the houses in Hometown, along with Napstablook and Mad Dummy. Of course, he never became the robot star he is in Undertale, so he's still a ghost. Current theory says the TV's supposed to be Tenna, last I checked.

@@invalid_user_handle The name Tenna originated from a Twitter Q&A that Spamton did in-character. For all we know, Toby just threw it in to stir up the pot about Mike. There's definitely some connection between Spamton and Mettaton, and I wouldn't put it past the secret bosses to have knowledge of other timelines. What I meant in the original comment, though, is not so much a canonical theory but an aesthetic observation about the fandom. The classic fan depiction of Mike is a charismatic talk show host who literally has a television set for a head. This is also a point for point description of Mettaton in Undertale, but the parallel is often overlooked because his EX form is just that much more popular. I just find it ironic.

An interesting thing about the Superbosses so far is that they seem to belong to _pairs._ JEVIL is the Black Joker card, with a missing Red Joker as his pair. SPAMTON NEO is based off of Mettaton NEO, when Mettaton EX goes completely unmentioned. ...Are we gonna get rematches?

So far this feels like kinda a stretch, but if future chapters continue the theme I could believe it (for instance: if Chapter 3's secret boss ends up being the bootleg controller and we don't see the non-bootleg one) Although "completely unmentioned" isn't true, Spamton Neo says this if you defeat him via attacking: "I WILL FILL MY [Body] WITH [Electricaty] AND BECOME SPAMTON [EX]!"
