It's a tragic thing. Tessa genuinely cared for each and every one of the drones, fixed them up, and gave them a home. She seemed to be the only one J would let herself be a bit more calm around. Her death, and then her body's fate on behalf of Cyn, is horrific. The others don't even have time to properly process what's happened because Cyn is so busy trying to kill them.

She adopted them and cared for them when it was stated in the show that humans would abuse drones. It would be more interesting if she's the one who'd stop Cyn as how she took her in, in the first place. A human saviour for both drones and humankind. The show could've explored more on their relationship and add Uzi as an important character as well.

I think N, V and J were upset. The production team just don't have the time and probably money to insert extra scenes about that. N and V definitely felt that Tessa isn't herself as it is hinted by how uncomfortably they stared at her helmet. N killed Cyntessa and you can tell he was distraught. V upsettingly said to N that "Tessa is dead" and that Cyn is using her body, while J did said to V "It tricked me too" in a sad expression. The problem with MD is that there's a lot of loop holes and unsaid storylines and it's incredibly rushed, but they definitely did care alot for Tessa, otherwise they wouldn't have tried to protect and help her in episode 7 until she was really endangering their lives and realised she's not the kind and lovely Tessa they known.

In episode 6, when "Tessa" was showing N photos of her house after the massacre, we can see the word "redacted" on the image of Tessa sitting on the floor, meaning that the real photo was photoshopped to make it look like Tessa survived. This means that by that time she was already dead.

Tessa is still alive. Im calling it now. Where's my evidence? WELL... *Huff copium* its all conjecture from circumstancial evidence but hear me out. First off, Cyn is oddly sentimental. She likes her little family, its why the MDs arent just Cyn puppets with no capacity for free will. Its not like she isnt capable of it, she's a lovecraftian horror. It has no practicality. So there is a realistic reason she'd keep Tessa alive. Second, is it hard to believe that Cyn is capable of stuffing a human consciousness into a drone or a hard drive? She totally COULD do it. Plus storywise it would be a cool thing to explore THIRD! Tessa deserves to be part of the squad. Her life sucked and she's just as cool as everyone else so HA! TAKE THAT LOGIC!
