Regardless of it's pacing, and how undeniable it is that the show needed more runtime, Murder Drones is still absolute cinema.

with all due respect, murder drones is my favorite series and deserved that one slot for making a great show while pushing my comfort zone, while the plot felt quickly paced and in your opinion too quickly, while I agree with the home segment suffering that the most, I feel that the concept of uzi coming to terms with her having absolute solver properties and learning its origin also tanked a huge hit, also her mother wasnt particularly the best character but far from being bad, yes the show would've benefited from like 4-8 more episodes, but they served a strong season and knocked it out of the park with 8

I think the finale would have benefited a 2 parter episode. I dont mind not having a season 2 becuz writing a whole show with lore is hard enough. I think splitting Absolute End into 2 15 or 18 minute episodes would fix the issue of J being underdeveloped and add an extra subplot of V finding her way back to the surface

@@noobmasterruben5167 I would've preferred if they developed the main threat of the story better, as cyn as amazing as is had no time to be intimidating, or even work on stuff like V development as the most she got is the episode 3 defense and episode 6 sacrifice, while a more developed ending is appreciated the middle parts posted so many question that still lack answers.

Honestly, and ive done so much thinking on this, the main problem isn't that there's only 8 episodes The problem is that all the episode are around 20 minutes. Genuinely, if you just made each episode at least 25 minutes, every single problem with the writing goes away. Just up to 4 minutes of extra time could save this series. Thats just my thoughts tho, and this was a really good video!

Im at a crossroads when it comes to season 2. Hell its still up in the air if its coming or not. I love the characters and want to see more if what its got. But at the same time, Murder drones is a short but great story that captures an era like no other story can. Sorta a stranger things s1 situation.

Considering it's a Liam Vickers story, the fact that it *ends AT ALL* is already impressive.

There’s definitely a few things we aren’t all that privy to production wise as an audience/consumer. Murder Drones was roughly developed at the same time as Meta Runner season 2-3. Despite the bumps, we still got a pretty kickass show. And I like how level your video was on the matter.

Liam at least said something interesting in a recent qna held in his discord server not too long ago. 'best to make something with real quality and care behind it - and personally at least, I really feel that come through in the show as just a sort of vibe it has! The show has a lot a lot that could be improved on of course, but really any elements I was initially sincerely frustrated or stressed about not coming together story-wise or visually have slowly faded in importance with time, and all I really remember now is how FRIKKEN HARD everyone worked to make the show as good as it was - every design, line read, animation, sound effect, etc! The endless endlessssss hours we sunk in was to make the show special to us as a crew, selfishly, because we wanted to be proud of our work, impress and inspire each other, and outdo ourselves - and that for sure happened + I'd work with any of those artists again in a heartbeat! ^ -^ All in all, feeling pretty darn good and also verrryyyyyyyy tired! Glad we made it out alive haha - the positive reception from fans is a nice bonus, and I'm very grateful for that too! :D' Honestly, pretty insightful. Man deserves his rest. It’s been a long three years.

Okay, I was with you when you said the shadow wasn't Doll, but Cyn and the Absolute Solver are 100% separate beings with their own goals and motivations. The Solver gave Cyn the devil's bargain that made her its puppet. They are different, and with how they behave and see things, Cyn and the Solver are two sides of a scarred coin.

No way, someone who doesn’t think episode 3 is the best? Crazy. Yap warning: I’m not even a Doll simp but I’m going to have to disagree with you there, I do think that the ghost is Doll or was meant to represent her at least. I do think that Doll is still around in some way whether that be in Uzi’s tail or as the aforementioned ghost. In regard to Cyn, it could really go either way. I personally lean towards them being separate entities but there’s no definitive proof either way from what I’ve seen. Also since you’ve mentioned the humans I thought I’d add my thoughts on it and say if I was in charge at the time I would not let people know about the destruction of Earth. Anyway yapping over, this was a nice, short video. Also the intro is peak!

Aside from revealing Uzi's Solver it barely provided anything new, even Doll's revenge plot wasn't brought up later in the show, she just chased the way into CFL like everyone else. BUT MAN THE FANSERVICE YAAY PEAK PEAK PEAK, and they did the same in Absolute End. EDIT: also I think they realised episode is rather empty so they put the "Tessa" reveal in the end, which could have been added in any episode from 2 to 5.

yeah pretty much agree, the first season needs just like 2 more episodes added to it so it can flesh out some stuff and dont feel as rushed. its not often i want more of a show but having 1 more season where cyn comes back and they have to figure out how to completely destroy it would be cool, after that i would be fully satisfied. anime that takes far too long to tell their story just gets to be too boring and dragged out real quick, why i loved gurren laggan soo much, they told everything they needed to in 1 season and didnt need a 2nd, but they made one anyway and made it work quite well and just built on more of what they had and gave a satisfying ending. as much as i would want more i feel its still a bad call cause it jsut drags on after that.
