Evgeniia Dantsis, who was born in 1925 in Kuzmin, a town near Gorodok, recounts how in late October 1942 Gorodok's ghetto was surrounded by a German unit and Ukrainian auxiliary police and its inmates, including her mother and oldest sister, were taken to the town of Yarmolintsy. Dantsis relates that, after being kept there for two days, the Jews from Gorodok were shot to death near the Yarmolintsy railway station, along with the Jews from nearby towns.
