Murder trial of romance novelist Nancy Brophy continues | Day 7 morning session

Nancy Brophy is an Oregon romance novelist accused of shooting and killing her husband in June 2018. Day seven of her trial will see more witnesses called to the stand by the state. The son of murder victim Dan Brophy may testify today. He sued Nancy Brophy in civil court for the wrongful death of his dad.

What is sick is that to me it seems she has thought and prepared the “jokes” ahead… like telling the police about Dan’s cut hand with stitches so she could say he wasn’t “having a good week” then fake an oops! She did that on the stand saying something like she “talks to Dan all the time” but “he is quieter now” 😒😡 So phony and always trying to appear witty - NOT!

It speaks volumes about the batteax that Dan worked two jobs just to keep her happy and brought her coffee in bed every morning so she could lay back and dream up another marine for her harlequin novels. It's a cautionary tale. When you can't pay your monthly mortgage because your spouse insists the life insurance payments must not fall in arrears, chances are they want to be widowed & wealthy!

It’s SO ANNOYING. The female officer on Day 2 (?) had the same vocal fry, so I think it’s a Portland thing, since that trend ended in like 2009.

And Paris Jackson doesn't do the fad any favors by exposing it's a put-on, otherwise she'd never sell any records if she sang like she talks.😏 I've even read some "experts" in the field, classify it as a "dialect"! Do they even know what a dialect is? It's not a regional thing! It's nationwide, even global!🙄It's SO ANNOYING!😊👍👍

It cannot be an easy job! No matter who's on the stand or how tedious & long-winded the testimony of the witnesses may drag on, he has to be prepared to rule on any objection at any moment. He has to be alert to every spoken word. How tiring!⚖👨‍⚖.

Nancy's making out like a bandit, hiding behind her mask but they should never the less focus on her during the most important moments of the trial, especially when people read their victim impact statements like Dan's son who gave such an emotional & powerful statement. I noticed too, in the Ashley McArthur trial, the camera was too busy showing the clerk read the verdict when it should have been fixed on Ashley's face as if we give a rat's ass what the clerk looks like when she reads out the defendant's verdict.

Wow for someone who’s husband was murdered 2 days ago she sounds incredibly chipper, already claiming life insurance, when we lost my mum suddenly but naturally…. Me and my dad were in a complete daze for at least couple weeks, we didnt even think about informing banks, store cards etc for about a month, everytime i talked i cried, my dad was just completely lost, i had to deal with funeral directors, coroner, I had to claim her funeral plan to pay for funeral and i dont know how i managed, I remember my MIL when FIL died from cancer she was like a rabbit in the headlights for months……. She just seems absolutely fine, because she s the one who killed him.

Maybe it’s because I have 43 years in my profession Det Posie to me came across as not having the knowledge that ppl with 24 yrs think they have . It’s evident he isn’t as good of a detective he thinks he is . 20 more years might get him there . Perfect example of ppl thinking time on a job makes them good at it . This detective needs 20 more years . Questions that should easily be answered he stammered . Heck I could of done a better job .

I have a form of muscular dystrophy that makes it difficult to swallow, so I frequently clear my throat. Perhaps the detective has a medical reason, as I do. He’s not an actor, and he’s not on this video for your entertainment. He is just doing his job.

I don't know why so many people care what other people are doing? Does it affect you at all? No. So why even bring it up. Covid is still here and the world is full of people with horrible immune systems. I'm one of those people and still have to wear a mask all the time. If you choose not to wear one, no one cares.
