I don’t believe this is a better ending at all, it undermines Jesse’s entire arc over El Camino to become his own person and escape his demons, to have Mr White still following him around and helping him achieve that goal, instead of him doing it himself, becoming independent and not letting the ghosts of his past tie him down, having that ending achieved with the caveat of “well gee I’m thankful I had Mr White to help me there as usual!” Is a bit cheap. Plus, they don’t deserve to be on good terms after all that’s happened. Walter put Jesse right in that cage, and manipulated him from the beginning. Just because he helped him get out in the end doesn’t mean Jesse owes him anything in the form of respect. It’s the same reason Skylar doesn’t reconcile with them, he can dig his family out of the shit situation he put them in to the best of his ability, but they do not owe him a single thing. All Jesse can muster is a nod of mutual respect, which was more than enough considering everything that happened, and it is perfect that way having that be their final interaction, as Jesse moves on from Mr White and doesn’t need to act like he was a better man than he actually was. Walter doesn’t deserve reconciliation in Felina, and he’s not looking for that either. His last business to take care of is for himself, and no one else, just like it was the whole time he broke bad. Note: This doesn’t mean I disliked the episode it was an interesting look into an alternate El Camino and for those who felt unsatisfied with what we got and prefer this like Murge stated in the video, fair enough! But personally I thought it was a bit cheap and so I wanted to voice my thoughts here in the comments as to why I thought it didn’t work.

"Walt put Jesse right in that cage". No, Walt put Jesse on a track to a new life, after he got under investigation by the APD and Hank for the money incident. Jesse owes Walt an apology for his actions towards the end. He wants his 5 million, Walt doesnt give it to him cause he fears irresponsible behavior. Then he ends up getting his money and throws it all out the window, being under investigation by the APD and Hank. Walt gives him like a million dollars to start a fresh life, the next thing he does is assault Saul and pour Gasoline in the White's house, regardless whether his disabled son and infant child are there. Then he rats out to Hank and gets him killed.

From letting Jane die to poisoning Brock, Walter is the only father figure Jesse had and he put him in danger and gladly hurt people close to Jesse to keep him on a leash, of course thats gonna make Jesse snap whenever he figures that out. A kid died because of them for fucks sake, of course Jesse isnt gonna act rationally after that, hes gonna spiral and self-sabotage out of guilt, the fact Walter didnt shows how emotionless he was by that point. Its also made very clear Walter only held the five million over Jesse out of petiness and to try and get him back, he gives it back to him months later like it was nothing. Ratting to Hank is completely reasonable considering the crimes Walter has committed, if you were betrayed to Jesse’s extent by a father figure and under the impression he wanted you dead would you not do the same, honestly? He could have never predicted itd get Hank killed. Jesse owes Walter NOTHING. Thats the whole point of season 5, if you missed that please rewatch the show 🙏

@@Michael-he7tc All I see here are excuse narratives for Jesse's irrational and illogical outbursts. Walt never meant Jesse no harm. Jane was blackmailing him and dragged Jesse into using heroin. Walt got rid of Gale and replaced him with Jesse cause he was threatening to rat Walt + Gus out if he got caught. Then he saved Jesse against the two dealers. As a thanks Jesse let himself be worked over and flipped by Mike and Gus obvious manipulation. Walt eventually accepted Jesse quitting the job and gave him the 5 million dollars. Everything after that is Jesse's fault and that includes the fate of Hank, Gomez, Saul, Walt and his family, aswell as his own fate as Jack's prisoner until Walt bailed him out again, one last time.

Great video as always, superbly thought out as usual. However, I have to admit that I don’t think it works within the context of the show’s logic. Walt and Jesse’s final scene together was perfect because it was the only way that they could’ve mutually found respect between one another: after Walt had saved Jesse, had nothing left to live for, and did the only thing for Jesse that he could’ve possibly appreciated by saving his life and making him completely free of the cartel and Jack’s gang. You have to remember that before Jack’s gang kidnapped Jesse, he was willing to do whatever it took to have Walt either arrested or killed for poisoning Brock, and that hatred had to have grown stronger after he learned that Walt wanted him killed. There’s no way he would’ve protected Walt’s life again after that, even though Walt saved his.

I can follow directions, so my favorite part of Elcamino has to be the ride or die relationship with Jesse Badger, and Skinny Pete. This video was very interesting and an enjoyable storyline, left you feeling all warm and fuzzy about Walt and Jesse making amends. The jack as a doomsday prepper is a perfect character arc. Also Murge's narration of these video's is rather good, mimicking voice inflections in the characters throughout the narrative, Murge even snuck in a Walt "cancer cough" in this while narrating the story.

In BB and BCS Jimmy is famous for his infatuation with a time machine. What about am episode if you choose a character any main character get in their mind and do a What if they had the option to enter Jimmy's time machine concept and change their decisions in the BB universe, and how going back in time would have effected the story arch. This gives you unlimited creativity to chose a character get in their head, and think of what choice they would make going back in time, and how it effected that character as well as others. Though there’s a bit of holes as to how Neil and Casey are able to wait to get Todd’s money in 3 months rather than immediately after Jesse’s escape in the original timeline, I find your take to be heartwarming and interesting to watch with how Walter is able to redeem himself in Jesse’s eyes. Suggestion for future video: What if Gene Takavic is able to slip away from the cops at the end of BCS? Meaning he either finds a better hiding place away from police attention or tries to have more situation awareness when fumbling with the plastic clamshell packaging of his burner phone, avoiding his diamonds being spilled around the dumpster. Gus would be soft in that case. Not at all like the cautious and calculated man we see in the main timeline. However, I say this not knowing much about what went down with him as "Generalissimo" in Chile.

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this but hear me out; What if Walter never told Skyler that Jesse was selling him Weed? what if Walter came up with a different excuse, such as saying Jesse was asking him for a good college to go to? If you think about it, the entire show would be swung into a different direction that I'm curious to hear your thoughts on.
